How does your dog like to exercise? Can they have treats? (And, do they have allergies). I love all dogs! All breeds are awesome! Do they like other dogs? What tricks can they do/how do you communicate with your dog? Is there training you want to start, develop, or solidify? Does your dog need new experiences like loud trains, cars or construction?
A typical day
I love to take dogs to the park. If it's a small dog, I like Daggett Park. For bigger dogs, Mission bay dog parks. I enjoy watching dogs learn so training them is a lot of fun. My goto is fetch!

Hello! My name is Athena. My partner and I have retired from our day jobs but I love dogs so much that I try to be on Rover as much as possible. As a sitter, I prioritize following how you want your pet to be treated... For example, some of the dogs I have watched are very well trained so I would spend 30 minutes twice a day running through their tricks. Another example is a dog that is dog-aggressive so I would walk her very early in the morning and very late at night. I believe that your dog should be treated how you want it. If you have written instructions, you can bet that I will read them 4-5x over to make absolutely sure that I didn't miss anything. If your pet needs medication, I will make reminders on my phone AND a checklist on my paper calendar; I have never missed a dose for a pet I am watching. I will ask an insane amount of questions to care for them right. Your pet will take priority throughout their time with me. Since my current living situation does not allow dogs, I am only house-sitting. I will bring my own camping mattress and sleeping bag so that I make the least amount of impact on your home. I will also make sure to clean up after myself and leave no trace of myself but a happy dog behind. If you need some training, I would be happy to start the process! I am a huge fan of Zak George's training style, to get the dog to think independently without force of any kind. If you want your puppy socialized, I have a long list of puppy-friendly people. I am familiar with food aggression training, too. Let me know if there is a dream trick you want them to learn! I also love writing a diary of your pet's day along with daily pictures of the adventures that they have. If you would like a house visit, I will share my phone's location so that you can track where I am. Last, I have never had any incidents however, if there is ever an emergency, I have an emergency fund to get treatment immediately. I hope that I have convinced you that I love dogs (and cats). I would love to learn what you like most about your dog and what is your dog's favorite toy.

Athena and her partner were amazing! They took great care of Hansel and sent me lots of photos and updates about how he was doing throughout his stay. They made sure to put makeshift child locks on their cabinets so he would not get inside. I appreciate all they did for him!
They are a dream team, it was so great to see how much Annie enjoyed her time with them. They treated her like she was apart of their family and she had such a great time at their dog park playing with other dogs.
Athena was so nice and patient with our mischievous dogs. We are so glad that she could make this happen on a such short notice. We really appreciate it!
