I have grown up with dogs and started in-home dog sitting when I was 15, giving me years of experience caring for pets. I have also had the pleasure of cat sitting many times and absolutely love spending time with kitties. As a part of my Zoology degree, I've participated in several animal care internships that gave me hands-on experience with a wide range of animals. I'm confident, comfortable, and genuinely happy around pets of all kinds, and I'm passionate about providing them with the love and care they deserve.

Kostass had such a great time! So much so, that when I went to pick him up, he just did not want to leave, he kept looking over his shoulder 😂 Ashlynn was just wonderful with him, couldn't be happier!

Ashlynn just completed a two week house sit for my two Iggys. She was very flexible to accommodate their schedules and followed all care instructions, including administering medication. Ashlynn is very communicative and provided regular updates with pictures and videos throughout the stay, so that we knew the iggys were being well cared for. This included letting me know that one of ours seemed to have an upset stomach and checking what we’d like to do / keeping us updated throughout the day. She also checked in to clarify anything she was unsure about, making sure the iggys’ routines were kept whilst we were away. She was proactive in keeping the iggys’ mentally stimulated, making use of enrichment toys and using known commands. Ashlynn is very friendly and bubbly. She and her partner clearly love dogs and spent a lot of quality time with the iggys during the sit. They also went above and beyond by rescuing a lost dog nearby, taking care of her overnight and reuniting her with her owner. Ashlynn and her partner also very kindly restocked some food for us so that we had provisions after a long journey home, which we really appreciated. This is the second sit Ashlynn has done for us and we’re really grateful for how well the iggys were looked after again.
Ashlynn looked after our dog, Pepe, for 10 days and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!! From the very beginning, Ashlyn put us completely at ease. We met her the day before drop-off so Peppy could get familiar with her and the environment he’d be staying in, which made a big difference, especially as this was his first time being away from us like this. While we were away, Ashlynn kept us regularly updated with pupdates and it was clear from every message that Pepe was having a wonderful time by enjoying lots of walks, exercise, trips to the park, and outings to cafés. Most importantly, he was clearly being cared for with genuine affection and attention. We’re incredibly grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend Ashlyn to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring to look after their pet.

Schedule
Right now I am tutoring Biology online, which gives me free time during the day to take care of your dog. I enjoy long walks for exercise and live a few minutes walk from Queens Park; thus, I can assure you that your dog will get enough outdoor time. I follow a regular schedule whatever that may be for your dog. I can also accommodate specific instructions, such as medication, training, or any extra cuddles and care to make sure your dog feels comfortable and happy while you are away from them.

I am obsessed with animals and enjoy spoiling them with the attention and care they deserve. I treat every pet I look after as though they were my very own, whether it's in my home or in a pet owner's home. In my home, a safe, clean, and comfortable environment is maintained with plenty of space to relax and play. I will prioritise sticking with regular routines, including routine feeding times, regular walks, bathroom breaks, and playtime to keep them happy and stress-free. When I am taking care of pets in their own homes, I make sure to respect the area of the owner at the same time as providing the same love and attention that a pet deserves. I adhere to special instructions, whether it is about diet, exercise, medicines, or favorite toys, and make sure that pets are secure, cared for, and feel comfortable in their familiar surroundings. My focus has always been on ensuring well-being, providing companionship, and making sure pets are loved and safe at every moment.
A typical day
A typical day with a pet in my care is all about balancing fun, routine, and chill time. I’d start the day by waking up and feeding the pet their breakfast, followed by a nice morning walk to help them burn off some energy and enjoy the fresh air. After the walk, we’d head back to the flat or even stop by a pet-friendly café while I do some work, ensuring they have a comfy spot to relax by my side. Midday, we’d go for another walk or have some playtime, whether that’s fetching a ball, exploring a park, or simply enjoying some interactive toys together. In the evening, I’d feed them dinner, take them on one final walk, and then wind down with a cozy night in. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch, brushing their fur, or just hanging out, I’d make sure the evening is calm and comforting. My goal is to ensure they feel loved, cared for, and part of a fun and relaxing day!
