Pet care experience
I treat all animals like they are my own which includes buying them treats and toys during long term stays or consistent drop in visits. I've been taking care of pets since I was 7 years old. I love getting to know animals personalities and building a special bond with them. I am used to giving pets medicine via pills and oral syringes. It's important to me that all pets get their exercise and are reinforced for positive behaviour.

Ashley was exceptional! Our dog, Rory was so well cared for and truly loved. She communicated well and sent lots of pictures which made us so comfortable knowing how happy he was. She took great care of our house too! I would highly recommend Ashley
Ashley was great with my 2 big dogs. They have big personalities but that didn’t faze Ashley at all. She is clearly a dog person. My house was exactly as I left it and she was easy going about me popping in and out on one of the days.
Ashley was great! She is very reliable and trustworthy. I loved getting daily pics of my kitties and she even helped with random things like vacuuming and taking the garbage out on garbage pickup day. I was a little nervous using a service like this, but glad I had Ashley. I highly recommend!
Exceptional care for our pets!!!!!! My wife and I found ourselves in a situation where the person who had been watching our very anxious dog for the last eight years was no longer able to do so. We have been so fortunate to find Ashley who stayed at our home recently to take care of both our dog and cat. From my very initial text conversations with her and from reviews that had been left, I had a great feeling about her from the outset. Ashley came by a couple of times at our request to meet our fur babies and we were amazed how quickly our dog especially took to her. Ashley is kind, gentle, caring and has a lovely personality that resonated immediately with our dog and cat. She sent lots of amazing photos while we were away and our dog and cat both seemed so happy, content and comfortable with her. They were both very balanced when we returned home showing us that they completely trusted Ashley and felt good being around her. Every part of the process with Ashley was easy and straightforward. She would be an amazing caregiver for any dogs and cats, but especially if you have a higher needs pet, Ashley is absolutely the right person for you. Thanks Ashley and we look forward to your next stay at our home in September!

I like to provide pets with a chance to sniff me when we first meet, as well as give them treats and pets to help them trust me. Spending regular time with your pets helps them develop trust. I am used to cleaning up after animal accidents. Lastly, I always leave your home cleaner than how I found it :)

It is important for me to know your dog(s) or cat(a) are friendly with strangers, other pets and if they need medication or are fearful of anything. I have worked with my fair share of pets with anxiety, nevertheless it is helpful to know, so I don’t worsen their anxiety.
A typical day
Swimming in the lake; hiking up Knox mountain; playing frisbee or catch / fetch games; dog parks; puzzles; learning new tricks. I love taking dogs hiking and swimming or to dog parks!

Availability
My schedule is extremely flexible! I teach in person for 3 hours a day. The rest of my work can be done remotely which gives me a lot of extra time throughout the day to walk and play with your pets.
