On to the nuts and bolts: Every housesitting stay is tailored to the pet, but the general rhythm is consistent. Mornings start with a potty break and breakfast, when I send a photo and quick update so you know how the night went. Once they’ve settled, we make time to burn off energy — a walk, playtime, or whatever your pup enjoys most. Monday through Friday I step out midday for about four hours to complete my dog walks and errands, then return for more play, a walk, or downtime together. Evenings wrap up with dinner, cuddles, and winding down before bed, with another round of updates so you’re never left wondering. For dog walks and drop-in visits, I start the visit the moment I arrive at your door. This way, you know exactly when I’ve entered your home, I’m not fumbling with my phone while greeting your pup, and I don’t risk forgetting to start the timer after they’re leashed up. I end the visit once I’ve exited and locked the door, so you can clearly see the full duration of care. I aim to maximize our time together. If the leash and supplies are easy to access, it helps me get your pup outside quickly for a full walk. If I do need to spend a minute locating something, I usually make up for it by extending our time outside. Before I leave, I always refresh water and make sure your dog is settled. For walks, I send one photo each visit so you have peace of mind. If you’d like more, just let me know, and if something too cute to ignore happens, I’ll happily share extra. My focus is on safety and making sure your pup gets the most out of our time together, so I keep photo-taking quick and simple.

There are two things I always consider when caring for pets. First, your instructions. I keep notes for each family and each pet so I can follow routines exactly as you’d like them. This is why meet and greets are so important. They give me the chance to learn your pet’s needs, quirks, and comforts before we begin. Second, I ask myself: what would I want someone to do if these were my dogs? If something unexpected comes up, my first step is to reach out to you so we can decide together. I would never do something I wouldn’t feel comfortable with for my own pups. Beyond the basics, I focus on making your pet feel safe and cared for. That means extra belly rubs for the affectionate ones, quiet patience for the shy ones, and calm reassurance for seniors or pets with special needs. My goal is for your dog to feel at ease in their own space, while you have peace of mind knowing I’m treating them as if they were my own.

Health & safety: Does your dog have any special needs, medications, allergies, or quirks I should know about? Are treats okay, or should I avoid them? What is your preferred vet/clinic, and what would you like me to do in case of an emergency? Social habits: How are they around other dogs and new people? Do they get nervous, excited, or prefer space? Any fears or triggers I should watch for (loud noises, fireworks, bikes, etc.)? Routine: How often do they need potty breaks and meals? Do they enjoy alone time, or prefer more company? Where do they usually sleep? Rules at home: Are they allowed on furniture? Do they have boundaries I should maintain? For housesitting, are there any areas of the home off-limits for me or your dog? Is there anything you prefer I don’t use? Logistics: Where can I find the essentials (leash, bowls, poop bags, etc.)? Do they try to dash out when the door opens? Training: Are there any commands or behaviors you’d like me to help reinforce during our time together? Comfort & care: What are their favorite toys, blankets, or calming routines? Emergency info: Who should I contact if something comes up — a preferred vet, emergency contact, or both?

I tailor activities to each dog’s personality and routine. If they love fetch, we’ll play. If they thrive on long walks, we’ll get those in. If their favorite thing is curling up for a nap, I’m happy to keep them company. I don’t take dogs anywhere that isn’t preapproved, and they’ll always be leashed unless they’re in their fenced yard. At home, we’ll spend time together doing whatever makes them happy, whether that’s playing, practicing training you’ve been working on, or just hanging out while I read, cook, or watch TV. My goal is to keep your dog engaged, comfortable, and cared for in the way that feels most familiar to them.

Experiencia en el cuidado de mascotas
Privately insured through PCI+ Rover Guarantee Hi, I’m Ashley. In true Seattle millennial fashion, I love coffee, flannel, cheering on the Seahawks and Mariners, and spending time outdoors with my two pups, Rainier and Baker. I’ve always had dogs in my life, so caring for them comes naturally, but I also know it takes more than love to do it well. Integrity, transparency, and commitment guide how I work with both pets and their people. I bring more than enough commitment, care, and coffee to handle everything from stubborn leash refusals to long walks in the rain. My hobbies might be stereotypical, but the service I provide is anything but. Over the past three years on Rover, I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I am comfortable giving medications, supporting senior dogs with mobility needs, and keeping up with high-energy pups who thrive on long walks. I’ve also worked with dogs who are fearful of new people, putting in the time and effort it takes to build trust so their families can travel without added stress. I invest patience, consistency, and more treats than there are grey skies in January. While I am not a professional trainer, I am consistent about continuing the routines you already have in place, which helps dogs feel secure and keeps progress moving forward. I believe safety and communication are the foundation of good pet care. I promise to send a photo and a message at every meal, with additional updates if you’d like. I pay attention to each dog’s unique needs, follow your instructions closely, and provide regular updates and photos so you never have to wonder how things are going. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your dog feels secure, cared for, and maybe even a little spoiled. While I cannot host dogs in my apartment, I am happy to care for them in their own home where they feel most at ease. Whether it is a daily walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I treat every pet like family. Finding my profile led you to everything you and your pup were looking for: a trustworthy sitter & Seattle’s answer to the age-old question: who let the dogs out.
Reseñas

Ashley was wonderful with our 2 pomeranians and older cat. She took care of our house for 5 days/nights and was the perfect guest. Mail and packages were collected, and everything was great and in place to come home to! So grateful to find her.

Ashley is the best! She is the most reliable and caring walker we have had (our dog is thirteen now) and I don't know what we would do without her!

wonderful sitter. Our dog loves Ashley. Highly recommend.

Ashley did a wonderful job caring for our pets and our home while we were away. We would definitely recommend her.
