Safety, trust & environment

At home I take them for a walk to the park or to the creek. If on the weekends I take them on a hike here or there or I have a splash pad at home, I sometimes use. I hold them in my arms or let them lay on my lap and just pet them till they fall asleep. Sometimes I dance with them or run from them or chase them it just depends on the mood. I have puppets sometimes they like or toys I use with them to get them going. Give them hugs and kisses. Give them treats. I give them baths or brush their hair. Sometimes I sing to them. In other clients home I probably would do the same, but it also depends on what the client wants and the needs of their dog or cat or whatnot.

Information Ashley D. would like to know about your pet

It is important that I know what your dog may or may not be comfortable with. I want your pet to be happy and comfortable. I also want to be prepared so I approach your pet accordingly because each dog/cat has different needs and expectations. If they have aggression issues with people or other pets like cats or dogs that way preventative measures are taken. I would also love to know your dog's routine so I could keep them on it. If they have any medical needs I must know ahead of time. Such as allergies, disabilities. Number one rule to is safety first.

A typical day

I love to go hiking/walks with my pets or those I'm watching depending on it they are able. I have special places to go depending on the area I am in. For instance, in the Lehigh area, I will take them to a beautiful hiking spot near Bowmans town. Then take them to cool off in the river afterword. It also fun to have some music on and dance with them so they feel connected with you. If they rather do something sportier, I may also bring out a soccer ball to run around with them, so they get exercise if there is open space available.

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Ashley. I have always had pets in my life since I was young. There is nothing I would rather do then take care of them every day, show them a good time. I have three dogs, 2 cats, and 2 horses. I have experience with puppies as I have helped to bring up 9. I also have experience with fish and axolotl. I want to make a difference the lives of all animals that cross my path. My goal is to one day own my own no kill animal shelter/ranch. I have experience giving medication if needed and other medical needs. For example, my chocolate lab Skittles is 14. She has difficulty walking, and incontinence issues as well. So, I will always try to work with your pet to make sure they are comfortable and feel safe as if they were my own.

Ashley is amazing! She was great with our traumatized dog. She knew how to handle her well.

Ashely is very caring and loving towards pets. She views all creatures as something precious and will do anything for them. She knows how to handle most situations that I have seen. I'm sure if something came up that was unfamiliar to her. She would handle it with great care and consideration. She is very thorough with animals in her care. After my cat had surgery. She gave him medications. Changed and flushed his catheter line and bag. She fed him and cleaned him. She changed the bedding and cleaned the cage during that time as well. Most importantly she gave him love and attention. Made him feel safe despite the scary circumstances my pet and I faced. Being as this includes not only her own pets. I have also seen this with her involving other people's pets and her own. She does her research and is very communicative as well as meticulous in details to ensure no stone unturned.

Ashley has always been an advocate for animals, dogs and horses especially. Growing up she had her best friend “dog” that she admits freely, “ helped her get through some tough years”. She spends quality time with her dogs. Ashley puts their welfare ahead of her own. She cooks them their own dinners, takes on walks daily and truly loves them. She even has her “ doggie go-bag “ in case of emergencies. I would definitely recommend Ashley as a pet caregiver. She is a great “person” friend and “animal” friend!

She has two dogs of her own. She loves them and takes good care of them. One of them is 14 years old, and Ashley got her when she was a puppy and she continues to care for her health.
