Caring & Nurturing Dog Lover! 🐾
Pet care experience
I've been surrounded by dogs since childhood, and my passion for caring for them has only grown over the years. Since the age of 14, I’ve looked after dogs of all breeds and sizes, earning the trust of family and friends to care for, walk, and bathe their furry companions. When your dog stays with me, they’ll experience a true home-from-home environment. I’m dedicated to ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and loved the moment they arrive. Located in the heart of the scenic countryside in Guilsborough, my beautiful Georgian home, "Little House," offers a peaceful retreat for your dog. With an abundance of walks in stunning fields, canal paths, and quaint village lanes, your pup will be spoilt for choice when it comes to adventure. It's the perfect countryside getaway for your best friend!
Reviews

This was the first time of leaving our beloved dog (Bandit) with someone outside of the family and I can happily say that experience with Arlena was outstanding. The way she interacted with Bandit at his initial meeting was so reassuring, we just knew he was going to have a happy stay and he really did. All throughout our holiday Arlena provided photos and updates which were really fun to receive. I would highly recommend and we will definitely use her again.

Arlena had Jarvis, our cockapoo, for 3 nights. She was extremely kind and welcoming and you can tell straight away she is a ‘dog-lover’. Arlena arranged a meet and greet prior to his stay and he got on really well with Oscar, her lovely Yorkie. Jarvis was obviously really well looked after and Arlena sent us regular ‘pupdates’ so we had peace of mind. We hope Jarvis stays at Arlena’s next time we are away.

Maggie had just the best time ever staying with Arlena! I received lots of lovely photos and updates from Arlena and it was very obvious to me that Maggie was thoroughly enjoying herself....lovely countryside walks, playing a running about with Oscar, Arlena's lovely Yorkshire Terrier and living the life of luxury that she expects as an older gal. This was my first time using a dog sitter boarding service and I am highly recommending it to all my family and friends. Arlena must be the best ambassador ever for Rover.com :)

Arlena was fantastic, she was able to take my daxie very last moment and sent lots of updates and photos. Wanda had a great day with Oscar and came back looking happy and tired! I would definitely use Arlena again.

Little House is a spacious, four-bedroom, three-storey Georgian home, complete with a private, fenced courtyard garden. It’s just myself and my husband, with no children, creating a calm and quiet environment perfect for your dog. To ensure your pet receives the best care, we only take one booking at a time, offering complete exclusivity and a focused, personalized experience. Your dog’s comfort is our priority, so depending on their routine, they can sleep downstairs in their crate, on the floor, or on the sofa. If they prefer being closer, we're more than happy to have them upstairs in their bed or crate, ensuring they feel secure and at ease.

Information Arlena B. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care for your dog, it’s essential I know as much as possible about their routine and preferences. Below are some key details that would be helpful for their stay: Feeding - What type of food do they eat? (Wet, raw, or dry diet) - What are their feeding times? - Do they require a slow feeder? Walks - Do they have reliable recall? - How are they on the lead? - How do they interact with other dogs? - Are you comfortable with them being off-lead during their stay? Health Are there any health concerns or allergies I should be aware of? Behavioural Quirks Are there any specific behavioural traits I should know about? (e.g., stealing socks, fear of certain noises, etc.) This information helps me tailor the care to your dog’s individual needs, ensuring they have a safe, comfortable, and fun stay!
A typical day
A typical day at our retreat begins with a scenic morning walk through the stunning Northamptonshire countryside. Your dog will have the chance to take in all the new scents, explore the surroundings, and enjoy plenty of playtime—on or off-lead, depending on your preferences. Lunchtime is playtime! We offer a variety of stimulating activities, including balls, toys, lickimats, and briar roots to keep your pup engaged and happy. In the evening, we enjoy a smaller walk to help tire them out before bedtime, ensuring a restful night of sleep. And of course, throughout the day, there are constant cuddles, kisses, and love—your dog will feel like part of the family every moment they’re with us!
