April can care for
Availability
I currently have a fairly open and flexible schedule for pet sitting, allowing me to devote focused, consistent care to the pets I serve. I’m in the process of gradually retiring from my professional grooming career and winding down my grooming salon operations, shifting my focus fully toward in-home pet care. As a full-time online college student, my coursework offers the flexibility to work around your pet’s needs — ensuring they receive reliable attention, companionship, and comfort throughout the day.

I have extensive experience working with multi-pet households, where understanding individual needs and maintaining harmony is key. I’m skilled in operating and managing separation tools such as crates, baby gates, and designated spaces to ensure each pet feels secure and comfortable. Additionally, I’m attentive to the specific dietary requirements of each animal, carefully following feeding routines and managing separate diets to avoid mix-ups or food sensitivities. My goal is to create a smooth, stress-free environment where every pet’s needs are met with care and precision.
Information April W. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best possible care, it’s important for me to gather a few key details ahead of time. I always like to know your pet’s daily routine, any medical needs or medications, specific dietary requirements, favorite activities, and any behavioral quirks — such as fear of storms, reactivity to other animals, or special handling preferences. Information about feeding schedules, treat allowances, exercise needs, and comfort items (like favorite beds or toys) helps me maintain a sense of normalcy and security for your pet while you're away. Clear instructions, emergency contact information, and your veterinarian’s details are also essential for ensuring a safe, seamless experience.
A typical day
A typical visit includes fresh food and water, litter box or potty break care, playtime or quiet companionship, basic grooming if needed, and detailed updates to keep you connected and reassured.

Pet care experience
(18+ years Professional Dog Groomer) Hello! I’m April — a lifelong animal lover with a heart for pets and a mind for dependable, professional service. I understand that trusting someone with your beloved furry family member is a big deal — and I take that responsibility seriously (with a side of treats and belly rubs, of course). Whether you have a playful pup, a wise old cat, or a shy new addition, I provide customized care that meets your pet’s emotional and physical needs. Calm, attentive, and endlessly patient, I create a stress-free, joyful experience for pets and their humans alike. Frequent updates and adorable photos are always included — because I know how much a wagging tail or a cozy nap picture can brighten your day. My professional background in dog grooming adds an extra layer of expertise to my pet sitting services. Having worked closely with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, I’ve developed a trained eye for spotting subtle changes in a pet’s health, behavior, or comfort level. This experience allows me to provide attentive, proactive care — ensuring your pet stays not only happy and relaxed, but also healthy and thriving while you’re away. I have also been actively involved in the world of dog sports for nearly a decade, gaining hands-on experience in a variety of disciplines. My background includes participation in Fast CAT, Rally Obedience, Scentwork, and, most recently, Conformation showing. Additionally, I am an active member of Spartanburg Kennel Club and Palmetto Obedience Training Club in Spartanburg. Your pet deserves more than just a sitter — they deserve a new best friend who treats them like family. Let’s connect and create a plan that keeps your pet happy, healthy, and absolutely spoiled (in the best way)!

Reviews

April watched my Yorkie puppy a few times during the week! Communicative, friendly, and respectful of your home and wishes! Would highly recommend :)

Great updates and communication! We were away for a weekend near the 4th of July and April noted during a check in that Ixion seemed a little anxious from fireworks nearby. At our request she put him in his crate to help him settle with the firework noise. The next morning he was happy and way less anxious. Great job on communication, photos and updates!
April is awesome. Anytime I have needed her, she has dropped everything and came to my aid. She has taken excellent care of my animals from feeding to washing potty pads. I highly recommend her for all of your pet sitting needs.
