Pet care fits naturally into my routine. I work from home on Mondays and Fridays, which gives me the flexibility to provide walks, drop-in visits, and pet care throughout the day. Outside of work, taking care of animals has always been a regular part of my life, whether that's spending time with my own pets or helping friends and family with theirs. Because I work a consistent schedule and plan my time carefully, I can be reliable and punctual when it comes to pet care. I enjoy getting outside for walks and spending time with animals, so it's something I genuinely look forward to rather than trying to squeeze into a busy schedule.

I try to keep things as close to the pet's normal routine as possible. When I'm caring for a pet in their home, I follow the owner's instructions and make sure they're getting everything they need, whether that's walks, meals, playtime, medications, or just some company while their owner is away. I pay attention to each animal's personality and body language and adjust my approach accordingly. Some pets want lots of attention and activity, while others are happier with a quieter approach and a little extra patience. I'm comfortable with both. Safety is always important to me. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are secure, and I keep an eye out for anything that seems out of the ordinary. My goal is to make sure pets are comfortable, well cared for, and as stress-free as possible while their owners are away. I make sure that I'm always available, and communication is a huge priority for me

Pet care experience
I've been around animals my whole life. I grew up with dogs, and these days I'm often the person friends and family call when they need someone to look after their pets. I've spent plenty of time walking dogs, feeding them, playing with them, and making sure they're well cared for while their owners are away. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes, including larger, high-energy breeds. I enjoy getting to know each animal's personality and building trust with them. I've even trained my own cats to do tricks and respond to commands using positive reinforcement. Taking care of animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I take the responsibility seriously because I know how much people's pets mean to them.

Andrew has watched my dog Kahlua overnight several times, and I always feel comfortable leaving her in his care. Kahlua is a smart Husky/Rottweiler mix with a big personality, and Andrew does a great job keeping her happy, active, and engaged. It's obvious that he genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and takes the time to get to know them. Kahlua is always excited to see him, and I know she's in good hands whenever I'm away.
Andrew has cared for my German Shepherd, Dunkel, on multiple overnight stays. Dunkel is extremely intelligent, high energy, and does best when he has structure and a consistent routine. Andrew was great about keeping up with his needs and making sure he got the exercise and attention he requires. What impressed me most was how comfortable and confident he was handling a large, energetic dog. I wouldn't hesitate to trust Andrew with Dunkel again and would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.
