I’m a lifelong animal lover with a huge soft spot for cats - especially the shy ones who take a little extra time and patience to win over. I grew up in Slovenia always having at least two pets in our home (at one point we had 3 dogs, 7 cats and a gerbil). I also spent some time volunteering in a cat shelter, since stray cats are very common there. When I moved to the Netherlands to live with my boyfriend, I brought along my dog, but the rest stayed behind with my family. I miss them very much so petsitting has been a great way to get to look after cats again as well as doing something I genuinely love alongside my part time job. For cat drop-in visits, I try to keep things calm and consistent: daily refresh of their food, water and litter scooping. Playtime if they’re interested, otherwise with shy cats, I sit nearby and let them ignore me in peace. As a pet owner myself, I'm fully aware of the escape artists, so I always enter with one foot into the door first (just in case). As an owner to an occasionally reactive dog, I’m attentive and always alert to my surroundings, whether it's traffic, other dogs or food on the ground. I want to make sure they get enough exercise and sniff time, while also keeping the walks enjoyable and stress-free for all of us. Overall, your pet's safety and wellbeing is my main priority during your absence. I’m reliable, communicative, and will send you daily updates and photos of your pet. I'm looking forward to caring for your pets as if they were my own!
