Safety, trust & environment
I believe in positive reinforcement and respect for the animal and property. I will follow your directions but use my experience and common sense to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet. I also want your pet to have fun and feel loved. This means playtime, cuddles, and as many treats as you allow and as appropriate for your pet.
Information Amy S. would like to know about your pet
Does your pet enjoy walks? If so, how far? How are their leash manners? Are they reactive towards other dogs or people? For feeding: does your pet have any special dietary needs? Are there any treats that are off-limits? Do they guard their food? For comfort: do they have a favorite toy or activity? Do they like to cuddle? Do they enjoy having space?
A typical day
During a typical day, I get up and take the dog outside for a morning stretch and potty break. Then it’s time for breakfast and cuddles on the couch. Around mid-morning, we go on a walk and practice basic commands (sit, stay, down, shake, and heel). Then it’s time to go home for plenty of water and treats. In the afternoon, we take outdoor breaks as needed. Dinner is around 6:30, and we have an extended potty break right after. When it’s time for bed, we take one more potty break, and then we settle in for the night!

Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs, and I have been caring for my own pets for the past 20 years (as soon as I got my own “adult” apartment, I adopted my first dog). I have also become the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family because they can rely on me to do more than just show up: I love and care for their pets as if they were my own. I currently have one dog and three cats. I have experience in senior dog and senior cat care, puppy care and training, and basic grooming. I have even flown across the country with cats, so I have experience navigating airline travel with pets. I also have experience caring for bunnies!

Reviews

Amy is very dependable and treats my cats well. Love the pics and videos she sends me every day. Highly recommend!

Amy is wonderful, as always.

If you need a reliable and experienced pet sitter with serious skills giving pills to cats, I am highly recommending Amy! She really impressed both me and my cat, Bilbo.
Amy is excellent with our dog. He is always happy and Amy sends pictures and videos regularly which helped us feel good about boarding.
