I've lovingly taken care of puppies and dogs continuously for more than two decades. Let me help put your mind and heart at ease like a trusted family friend. I have years of experience walking dogs, pet sitting, and training both new puppies and adult dogs with exclusively positive training techniques. I also have experience taking care of cats (kittens, adults, and senior cats) as well as senior and sick dogs. Family members, friends and co-workers have all entrusted me with care for their sweet pets, both at their homes, out on walks and adventures, and at my Johns Island home that has a 1/3 acre fenced yard. My current companions are a shy and sweet two-year-old pitty mix and an incredibly mischievous and outgoing eight-month-old pitty/staffy mix. I'm skilled in new puppy care, house/potty training, teaching basic commands, crate training, and thorough puppy socialization using (among other techniques) methods recommended by Kerry Nichols in her fabulous book, "Puppy Brain". I'm experienced in administering medications for cats and dogs that need them, as well as gentle exercise for senior dogs. I'm available for daily walks, exercise adventures to parks and beaches, and puppy/dog/ cat sitting at your home — for clients on Johns Island, Kiawah, Seabrook, and the Riverland Terrace neighborhood of James Island. In my previous professional life, I have been a nonprofit executive for twenty years, and decided to take an extended sabbatical. I'm using this time to spend more time in nature and with friends and family.
