Safety, trust & environment
I have a secure home with 6ft+ fences. Unfortunately, due to my beloved Apollo being considered a banned breed, he is no longer able to interact with dogs from other households and therefore unable to join play dates, so my services are offered on a 1:1 basis only.
Information Amy B. would like to know about your pet
It’s important for me to know details about your pet ahead of time so I can provide the best care possible. This includes their temperament, any preferences or dislikes (such as favourite games or specific areas they enjoy walking), their energy level, any health concerns (like allergies or medical conditions), and any special requirements (like medication or diet). Understanding how they interact with other dogs and people, as well as their behaviour on walks, helps me tailor each outing to ensure they feel safe, comfortable and happy. The more I know, the better I can care for your beloved pooch.
A typical day
On the first visit, I’ll take extra time to get to know your dog and build their (and your!) trust. I’ll approach them calmly and let them adjust to my presence at their own pace, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. This initial visit is all about creating a positive experience, so your dog can feel confident and relaxed with me for future walks and visits. It’s important to me that they feel secure and I’ll be patient, building a connection that sets the foundation for a happy relationship. When I take your dog out, you can expect a fun and safe outing tailored to their needs. I'll start by ensuring they're comfortable and ready for the walk, then we'll head out for a leisurely or energetic stroll depending on their energy level. If they enjoy playtime, we’ll incorporate that with some fetch or games and if they’re social, I’ll supervise any dog interactions. After the walk, I’ll make sure they’re comfortable and hydrated before returning them home. You’ll receive plenty of photo updates throughout (if you are comfortable with this), so you’ll always know your dog had a great time!

Pet care experience
Hi there! I'm Amy; a passionate animal lover and proud dog mom to two American Bullies, Apollo and Kobe. Dogs truly are my world and I adore them no matter their size, shape, or breed. Having spent years caring for and walking a variety of breeds—from Labradors, Rottweilers, Pitbulls, German Shepherds, Cane Corsos, Bichon Frises, Shih Tzus and Hungarian Vizslas (to name a few!), I’ve gained the skills and confidence over the years to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments. As someone who believes no dog should face discrimination based on appearance or breed, I advocate for treating every dog with the love, respect and individuality they deserve. Whether your dog is big, small, tough-looking (or thinks he/she is!), or not, I’m here to ensure they receive the care they need. No dog should have their walk requests rejected based on their appearance or breed. Alongside my personal experience and many years serving my clients, I volunteer with dog rescue charities whenever possible. This rewarding work has given me valuable insight into dogs from difficult backgrounds, teaching me patience, compassion and resourcefulness as we help them adjust and find their forever homes. Growing up in a family of dog lovers, I was always the go-to dog sitter for friends and family! Now, I’ve turned that lifelong passion into a profession. While I live at home in a house with a garden with Apollo and Kobe, my services are now better suited to offering your dog (or dogs) the one-on-one care and attention they need, either at your home or out and about. As an outdoors enthusiast, I love nothing more than diving into my walking boots and heading out into nature with a coffee and a furry companion by my side. So whether you are looking for a leisurely walk for your pooch, or you own a ball of energy who needs an adventurous run in a local park, I am here to help. I’m also experienced in dog training and behaviour management, having worked with a range of breeds over the years and completed many courses in areas such as Dog Emotion & Cognition, Canine First Aid Level 3 and Understanding Animal Behaviour & Welfare (certificates available on request). With me, you can trust that your dog will receive the care, patience and attention they need. Your dog will return home happy, well exercised and showered with love, ready to relax.
Reviews
Amy B. cancelled a booking after the stay began.

Absolutely incredible service! I really needed some help to walk another owners 7 month year old beautiful Rottweiler/mastiff mix who was incredibly strong and enthusiastic and has very usual puppy behaviour of eating anything he sees. She handled him super well and took him for a full hour and took wonderful photos. I highly recommend her, he came back very happy! X
Amy was recommended to me by my sister in law as we couldn't find a dog walker for Snoop due to him being such a nervous dog and being scared of new people . within the first visit Snoop was instantly obsessed with Amy!!! We couldnt believe it after all the failed dog walkers we've gone through. Amy is really knowledgeable when it comes to dogs and you can just see how much she loves them when you're in her presence with your dog,, it is so lovely to see. I no longer have to panic while me and the hubby are at work as we get our regular updates every week. Couldnt recommend Amy more.
