Pet care experience
I have always been drawn to animals. Caring for my nans pets, having my own pets (hamster, fish and rabbit), volunteering to walk my elderly neighbours dogs, doing paid walks/feeds/sittings as well as just giving a friendly stroke to the strays around my street. I am a healthy young person so can walk far with your dog or simply provide company and feeds. I have been a vegetarian for 10 years plus and an anti animal cruelty advocate. I truly believe animals deserve more legal protections than we currently provide them. All my pets were from shelters or sanctuary’s and have looked after mostly mature animals as they are often the ones that get not brought or left behind.
Reviews

Very happy to work around our schedule and seemed to have a nice time with Hazel.
Amy was a very caring and entertaining with my mother’s dog and cats. She would regularly volunteer to take my mum’s elderly dog for walks when my mum wasn’t able too. She would also do the cat feeds when they went away. Amy was playful and loving towards her own pet rabbit (taking her out to the garden twice a day and keeping on top of her schedule)

Safety, trust & environment
Making sure they are safe - my rabbit used to have to be watched when she had outside play time due to the garden being open to other wildlife. Regular checks on the way they move to look out for ailments. Giving them enough attention and making sure they are safe to others in public (holding a lead gently but gripped so they can’t jump up on strangers)
Information Amy B. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has any allergy so we can avoid certain foods or places that may have plants that could harm them. Also if they are allowed treats and need to be extra careful around strangers. Special needs dogs are welcome in my care
A typical day
I will take each dog on there regular walking path but on occasion, we could go to somewhere special, such as a new park, a meadow, around uni park. We could play fetch and I’d bring a few toys from home too. If a dog is more high energy, I am happy to go for a run with them on a lead too and give them treats when they’ve been good.

Availability
I have free time before I start my au pairing journey. I do not have a job until then so am free to take any furry friend 7 days a week. I live in Bicester and will have to travel into Oxford for my service so please let provide updates for me in advance of arrival. IMPORTANT: My charges can be reduced for you if I am paid directly (with app charges being avoided).
