Amélie can care for
Availability
I’m currently a university student at BI Business School in Oslo, which gives me a pretty flexible schedule both during the week and on weekends. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to adjust my availability to fit your pet’s needs whether that’s daytime walks, drop-in visits, longer stays, or weekend care. I spend a lot of my free time with animals anyway, so pet sitting fits perfectly into my daily routine. I’m reliable, organized, and happy to stick to your pet’s normal schedule to keep things consistent and stress-free while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment
Because I live in student housing, I’m unfortunately not able to have pets stay in my own home. For that reason, I focus on providing care in my client’s home or through walks and drop-in visits. When caring for pets, I always stick closely to the owner’s routines and preferences. I’m familiar with crate training and will happily follow any crate schedule your dog is used to. Safety is very important to me, so I make sure dogs get the physical and mental activity they need while still being walked and handled in a calm, controlled, and safe way. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior, energy level, and comfort, and I adjust care accordingly to make sure they feel secure and well cared for in their own environment.

Lifelong Animal Lover: Dogs, Cats, Puppies & Reac
Pet care experience
I’ve had animals my entire life, and caring for them is truly second nature to me. I grew up on a farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and a variety of farm animals, which gave me a strong foundation in animal care from a young age. I currently have three dogs of my own two Australian Shepherds and one rescued street dog so I’m very familiar with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Because I’ve always had multiple dogs, I have extensive hands-on experience with puppies, including potty training, basic manners, and managing high-energy behavior. I also have experience with reactive dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I’m comfortable reading body language and adjusting routines to help dogs feel safe and supported. In addition, I’m a volunteer at Oslo Shelter, where I work regularly with cats. Through this, I’ve gained a lot of experience caring for cats with different temperaments, from shy and timid to social and playful, as well as handling feeding, cleaning, and enrichment. I truly love animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is always to make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.
