Starting in February, I will be stepping into a 9-5 role which has affected my client intake! While I would adore watching your beloved fur babies, please be sure that you and your fur crew are comfortable with a sitter that will be out 9-5 on weekdays. Weekends remain open! If you are comfortable with my 9-5 position, I am up for the job and can do overnights!

I approach pet sitting with the mindset of meeting a pet where they’re at. If a pet seems timid and anxious, I will allow them to warm up to me however they feel comfortable. I will not force any connections with pets, and rather meet them where they’re at in their comfort. It’s very hard for some pets to adjust to a new caregiver, so I like to give them space to warm up and come to me when the time is right. I think it’s very important to keep their care as consistent as when their owners are around! It’s hard enough having their owners out of the house, but hey lady my dinner is late! I like to make sure they still have consistency during these times to make things just that much easier.

Important information includes medicine or supplements as well as timing for potty and feeds! How often is medicine/supplements introduced and in what way? With meals or with a slice of cheese or peanut butter ;) Knowing this as well as typical timing for potty and feeds can help with consistency and comfort!

Typical days will follow a routine that your pet is already comfortable in! I know that change can be hard, and introducing new routines isn’t always the answer. If your pup is used to taking a morning walk, let’s go for it! Consistency is often what makes these pet sits so successful, so let me know what their typical routine is!
