I am dogs' best friend!
I have never met a dog I haven't loved! My family has owned dogs which I have played an active role in caring for my whole life. We have had all sorts of breeds from Rottweilers to Shih Tzus to mutts and I've loved them all! Currently, my husband and I have a mixed breed pup (according to her DNA test she is a "Super Mutt" which describes her perfectly) named Maple and we are obsessed with her. I found Maple on the side of the road, near starvation and suffering from heart worms as a very young puppy. With lots of TLC, she healed quickly and we have been inseparable ever since! I love getting to know each dog's unique personality and what makes them special. Because each dog is different, I know care should be tailored to their specific needs and personalities. I have cared for newborn puppies through senior dogs, both my own pets and as a dog sitter. I have gone through several training programs with my dogs including several of the Petsmart training classes as well as group and one-on-one sessions with private dog trainers. I also, while working in Community Relations for an in-home care company, helped begin a program where we brought a trained Golden Retriever to various Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities to provide comfort and companionship to seniors. It was such a joy to share the love a dog brings with so many sweet people who needed it. Our animals are more than just pets, so I know trusting your pup with someone is a big deal. I would love to set up a meet and greet before starting services so I can learn all about how to best care for your pup and we can all feel our most comfortable before jumping in.

Safety, trust & environment
My dog is unfortunately not friendly to other pets, so I am unable to provide services in my home. However, I am happy to walk your dog in a safe environment and/or provide potty breaks and playtime for your pup in your home. I am very familiar with crate training and am happy to honor your preferred training cues. For walking, it can be very hot in the summer so I am very mindful of the impact that can have on dogs- especially on their paw pads. During the hot weather, I am very mindful to walk in shaded and non-pavement areas as much as possible in the designated environment.

Amber always takes amazing care of our dogs and you can tell she really loves them. She provides the best updates that make you feel like you’re there with her during her check-ins. It really makes you feel good knowing someone, who truly cares, is with your pets when you can’t be there.
Amber always does an amazing job taking care of my two high energy dogs. She always leaves great feedback that makes me feel like I was there myself. My dogs and house are always in perfect condition when I come home and I have nothing to worry about with her timeliness, professionalism, and love of animals.
