Pet care experience
I come from a family of pet lovers! Everyone knew my grandma would take in pets that needed a home with no hesitation. I grew up around cats and dogs, but I also have experience with fish, guinea pigs, snakes, hamsters, ferrets, mice, and birds. I have pet-sat for several friends and family members, and I am very confident in my ability to care for your very special family member.

Amber was fantastic with my dog Millie. She's a border collie and requires a lot of attention and exercise and Amber completely took care of all her needs. It can be so stressful leaving your dog to be taken care of by someone else but Amber was so warm, kind, and responsible. I highly recommend her for any of your pet sitting needs.
Amber's an angel!! We had a family emergency where we were obligated to leave our house and our dog couldn't come with us. This was very nerve wracking, as we've never had to do this before but Amber was beyond professional and so, so kind. She was on top of everything that we didn't even have time to think about, such as asking us for emergency vet information and if our dog had any allergies or conditions she should be aware of. Zorro (our dog) is missing his front leg and requires a little extra attention for certain situations where Amber was gentle and understanding. She turned around a very tough situation for us, knowing we could at least be assured our little buddy was home and being cared for by someone so compassionate about animals

Our house is already home to 2 kitty cats, so if your pet does not like cats I would be unable to board them in my home. Our cats will tolerate other animals, so if your pet is friendly with cats then we will be A-Okay! We do have a large fenced in yard and the neighborhood is always bustling with people walking their dogs. We are also very lucky to have a veterinary office right down the street from us, in case of an emergency. We are a household of non-smokers and 2 non-drinkers (I am one of them!) We have 3 people total living in the home; me, my roommate, and her significant other. (They love animals too!) If you'd like me to come to your home I have no problem with that, and am willing to drive distances of 30-45 min (at most). I work in Southfield and Novi depending on the day, and can always run to client's homes on lunch breaks if your sweet baby needs anything. I have no obligation to be home at night, so if you need a late night/over night sitter to come to your home, I can get the job done!

I absolutely need to know how your pet is with other animals. I want to make sure your furry family member is comfortable! Special needs, allergies, disabilities etc. are also ideal for me to be aware of. Lastly, I honestly do not do well with aggressive dogs. If you have a dog that has bitten people/animals, has been known to bite people/animals, or any other behavioral issues along these lines, I will not be the right sitter for you! I can, however, handle aggressive cats.
A typical day
I have a large fenced in backyard where your dog can run and play fetch. The neighborhood is large and ideal for longer dog walks. I also live close to a number of parks and trails where we can go adventure! If your pet is older and/or needs a quiet space to hangout and nap, we can make that happen too. All I want is for your very important furry friend to feel safe, comfortable, and happy.

Availability
I do have a full time job at a doctors office, so during the week I will be mostly unavailable during the day. In the case of boarding, your pet may need to go extended periods without going outside (8 hours maximum). If your pet cannot wait this amount of time, boarding with me during the week would not be an ideal option. I am up at 7AM every morning and will be home in the evenings to care for pets as well. My weekend availability is much more open, where I will be available all day Saturday and Sunday. Thursdays I am home by 3PM.
