I understand that cats have wildly different personalities and will do my best to make them feel comfortable while I'm around. I will spend time with them in whatever way they prefer, whether that's playing, petting or just existing quietly in the same space. With cats especially I do my best to be a calm and quiet presence and unless I have to give them medication or something where I have to get in their personal space, I usually let them come to me to reduce the risk of stressing them out.
Information Amber D. would like to know about your pet
My preferance is always going to be to have a meet and greet prior to a first time visit, partly to get a vibe for how your pet acts when you're still there so I can have a better baseline of any concerning bevaviour changes to keep them safe. Also to make sure we can go over any points of concern you may have. Such as dietary needs, medications, hiding spots, or silly little quirks.
A typical day
For cats I typically take care of the basics first, food, water, clean litter. If they show interest in toys I'd play with them or if they'd prefer I could just hang out for a bit and give them affection. For dogs mostly the same. I start with potty break/walk/play time, then food and water depending on what their typical routine is like. Then if they're receptive to it, spend some time giving them lots of pets and attention.

Pet care experience
While my specialty is cats, I've also had a bit of experience with taking care of dogs. I recently started voulnteering at a local shelter to gain a bit more experience. I've also done some dog sitting for friends and neighbors.

Reviews

Amber did a great job communicating with me while I was gone and sent lots of pictures!

Amber is amazing! I truly cannot thank her enough for how great she was taking care of my cat, Beans. He was pretty stressed when I left for vacation for a week and he wasn’t eating. After a few days, Amber took him to the vet and got him the care he needed. She is excellent with updates and communication. You can tell how much she cares. She really goes above and beyond expectations. I will definitely be rebooking with her in the future and recommending her!
