Pet care experience

Experience Premier Pet Care—with a Welcome Gift Just for You New to my Rover services? As a warm welcome, all first-time clients booking visits or boarding in August 2025 will receive 25% off their first service—up to $25 in savings. Whether your pet needs attentive in-home visits or a cozy boarding stay, I offer personalized care tailored to their routine and temperament. Booking now ensures premium availability, peace of mind, and a little extra savings—because your pet deserves the best from the very first visit. Mention in your booking request that you read this to get your discount! IMPORTANT INFORMATION *DISCOUNT: Get $5.00 off normal rate for 15-minute drop-in or walk. Please ensure that the requested tasks can be reasonably completed within 15 to 20 minutes. Just let me know that you want to do 15-minute visits instead of 30 minutes! *Weekday Bookings: Any bookings scheduled between 11 AM and 2 PM on weekdays may occur at any time within that window due to high demand and the need for an efficient route during peak hours. *After-Hours Visits: Walks and drop-ins scheduled between 8 PM and 8 AM will incur an additional charge of $5 per visit. This policy is in place to prioritize my safety and well-being. *Multiple-Household Policy For Boarding: I will only accept pups from multiple households with permission from all parties involved. I’ll do my best to assess compatibility, as my top priority is maintaining a safe environment for everyone. *Booking Drop-Ins VS Walks: Book a WALK if you'd like me to walk your pup off your property (regardless of the length of the walk). Walks include feeding, medications, etc. Book a DROP-IN if you do not want your pup being walked off of your property. I'm happy to let them into a fenced area or walk them on the property to potty. This will also include any feeding, medication administration, etc. This differentiation is due to a higher liability with walking dogs off of their property as well as extra physical work. Hi there! I’m Amanda, and I’ve turned my love for pet sitting into a fulfilling career—no regrets here! I hold a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from UCF, and while I still enjoy those subjects, my true happiness lies in caring for animals. Throughout my life, I’ve had a variety of pets, including dogs, a cat, turtles, fish, and hamsters. Known as the neighborhood animal whisperer, I’ve also cared for ducks, guinea pigs, bunnies, and lizards. My high school years were spent volunteering for pet rescues, which deepened my passion for animal care. After moving to northwest Orlando, I gained valuable experience working in a doggy daycare. This reignited my love for dogs and inspired me to embark on my own pet-sitting journey. Through my work at the daycare, I learned extensively about different breeds, health issues, behaviors, first aid, and more. Since early 2023, I’ve been living my dream as a full-time pet sitter with Rover. I can administer medications and am knowledgeable in canine first aid, ensuring your furry friends are well cared for.

Amanda is simply wonderful. She was able to accommodate a last minute time change request without problems and is always so patient with my dogs (especially one who does not like to go outside).

Safety, trust & environment

My home is kept clean and welcoming, using dog-friendly cleaners and equipped with air purifiers. I have a sturdy steel crate—ideal for escape artist pups—that’s regularly maintained and spacious enough for larger breeds. Additionally, I have an extra wire crate available if needed, and you’re welcome to bring your own crate to ensure your pup feels at home. Rest assured, the crate will only be used if necessary or specifically requested, and dogs are not crated overnight unless desired. My priority is to make your furry friend’s stay as comfortable as possible! During your pup's stay with me, they will get to enjoy a fenced backyard, a variety of toys, and playtime with my dog, Heidi. I keep plenty of treats to share, with your permission of course, and have multiple water bowls around the house. I require meet-and-greets for new boarding bookings to ensure peace of mind for everyone involved. This allows us to see how our pups interact and gives you a chance to check out their temporary home. If it doesn’t feel right for you or your pup, that’s completely okay! Heidi is excitable at first but will happily match the energy of your dog. She loves playing as much as she loves her nap time. For house-sitting, drop-in visits, or dog walks, I don’t require a meet-and-greet, but I’m more than happy to arrange one! It helps me familiarize myself with your home, and I know it’s comforting to meet the person caring for your furry friend. I appreciate receiving a message or note outlining the basics of the visit, including expectations, emergency vet information, and feeding or medication instructions. The more information you provide, the better I can care for your pet. Rest assured, I’ll ask any necessary questions to ensure I have everything I need. I’m completely fine with security cameras—inside or outside the home—alarm systems, and regular check-ins. During walks, I let your pup take the lead; they know their routines best, and I’m there to keep them safe and clean up after them. Most importantly, I’ll always keep you informed if anything concerning arises with your pet or home while they’re in my care. Transparency and regular updates are key for me, and I’m always here to address any concerns—nothing is too small when it comes to your pet’s well-being.

Information Amanda S. would like to know about your pet

1. Does your pet have any health concerns? 2. Do they take any medication? 3. Sensitivities to certain things like sounds, thunderstorms, people, touches, etc? 4. Allergies? 5. May they get treats? 6. Emergency vet information? 7. Is your pet crated when left alone? If I am ever unsure about anything, I will be sure to ask.

A typical day

I keep healthy dog treats on hand to offer your pup and to see what tricks they know. I also love mentally stimulating games like hide and seek, find the treats, kongs, and puzzle toys. When it’s not too hot out we’ll play fetch in the yard or just run around like hooligans. Your babies are also welcome to hop up on the couch or my bed to rest whenever they’d like. I even have multiple dog beds to share and of course, you’re more than welcome to bring your own. I generally encourage 45 minutes of rest after meals to avoid any cases of GDV, also known as bloat. I’m also always cautious in hot months to make sure the pups get lots of water and AC time to avoid heat stroke.
