Pet care experience
I worked in a vet clinic during college and I studied animal science for a year and a half. I had cats growing up and hope to get a dog one day soon! We have 2 young kids right now, so we are not ready to own our own pet just yet. I am great with training and have trained my friends’ dogs and my cats. Both cats that I most recently lived with knew “up” and know how to sit on command.

Amanda took such good care of Blu! He came home tired out and happy from a day full of fun- walks, playing in the yard, and playing with her sweet kids. 😊
Amanda was great! She met my awesome beagle, Tebow, before I went out of town so they can get familiar with each other and dogs need to be comfortable around someone. Amanda also kept in contact with me while I was gone letting me know how he is doing so I wouldn’t worry being away and she also sent me an adorable picture of him sleeping. I will definitely let Amanda hang out with my dog next time. Thanks Amanda. ??

I would like to know their personality and their level of training. My dog breed preferences are medium sized dogs such as labs, golden retrievers, GS, and huskies, but I am open to anything!
A typical day
I live in a neighborhood and the next street over is a dirt road that I usually use for runs so it would be perfect for walking a dog. I can also take your dog running, if you would like. I have done runs with all sorts of breeds from German Shepherds to Boston Terriers. I have also trained dogs for running. As mentioned in another section, I have a decent sized backyard as well, but no fence. I would also be willing to take your dog to a dog park.

Availability
I am a teacher during the school year and home during the summer. I am free all summer except a trip here and there. I try to keep my calendar as updated as possible, but you can always reach out and ask!
