Pet care experience
I’ve always had dogs in my family ever since I was born but I started working in a vet clinic as a kennel assistant in 2014. I cared for dogs and cats who were boarding as well as those who were patients in the clinic. After about 2 years of training on the job, I became a vet tech at the clinic. This helped me learn about different medical conditions and what to look out for. It also gave me experience with giving medications to dogs and cats. I worked there for about 4 years. I currently have 2 dogs and 1 lizard of my own. I also volunteer at the animal shelter when I have free time. I have a passion for animals and love caring for them.
Reviews

Amanda is amazing she always take good care of our cats and is a great communicator we love having her.

Upon arriving home, I found that my dog had chewed a plastic scoop, blinds in my son's room, and multiple silica packets. This was not disclosed to me during Amanda's time at my home with my dog, so I found it surprising that my dog was allowed to access so many items. I left detailed instructions that other sitters followed pretty easily, but were not this time. I did not appteciate that my dog was allowed to roam free, when I specifically stated that he should be crated during the day. In addition, I wasn't sure if Amanda completed one of the check-ins as the one photo submitted from the chrck-in was of a garage door. I don't find this acceptable. While I appreciate that Amanda kept my dogs alive, I now have ants in my home from treats left on the floor, chewed blinds, and the possibility that my dog may have stomach issues from ingested plastic and silica.

My cats usually shy but loved her, great photos and care. Definitely will use this sitter again.

Amanda was phenomenal with our cat Moose she checked in on him as promised and filled out a report card daily with pictures. She followed instructions and made sure that our feeder and camera were set each night. We will definitely will be using her in the future. Highly recommend.
