Unlike traditional boarding, dogs under my care stay in my home on 2.4 acres, where they receive personalized care, structured routines, and plenty of mental and physical enrichment. My goal is for every dog to have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable stay while giving owners peace of mind. I'm a professional dog trainer with over 10 years of experience and an AKC Canine Good Citizen & STAR Puppy Evaluator. I specialize in obedience, service dogs, and behavioral rehabilitation, so I'm comfortable working with puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, and dogs with special needs.

Hired to walk my new rescue wolfhound. Discussed in person my concerns with his jumping. I was reassured that it was not a problem and something she could handle. Everything was going well, even received a message stating that he was doing better with jumping. Was planning to attend a class with said trainer this weekend to continue working towards his training. Was not given this opportunity because the next visit we had she randomly canceled and said that his jumping is not something she can handle? I reviewed my security cameras and it seems that she was not ignoring his jumping as she told me she'd done before. She was getting annoyed with him then got on knee level and of course he was excited and jumped. There was plenty of ways a professional trainer could have gone about avoiding this conflict as in separating the dogs to harness separately. Or taking the excited dog outside first. My dog has 0 aggression issues and just is happy to have company and someone to love on him. She stated knew this but that her "injuries" were more extreme than most *small scratches and bruises* If you are unable to handle a large dog who was recently rescued then you need to just be upfront with the owner about your capabilities. Not waste my time and money canceling an entire week on me with 0 communication of any issues or warnings. Also offered no alternative solutions besides dropping me as a client until he received more training. When she is the trainer I was trying to have him build a relationship with? Have only worked with this person for three weeks and had several instances of her needing to change our pre discussed schedule and was more than happy to communicate and accomodate. Wish the same respect had been received in return.
Alyssa was great! Gave me constant updates on how my pups were doing and sent pictures throughout her stay with them. My little one can be quite anxious and warmed up to her quickly!
If we could give Alyssa more than 5 stars, she has earned every star in the world. Our kids loved being spoiled and her deep attentiveness to each one.
Alyssa is so patient with my dogs and takes her time making them feel comfortable. So grateful to her and looking forward to a long future of working together!!! Highly recommend her services. I fully entrust her with the care of my fur babies

Pet care is my full time job. I own and operate Canine Collegiate, a home-based daycare, boarding, training, and grooming facility on 2.4 acres in Lake Asbury. Because we live on the property, the dogs get frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day.

Dogs stay in our home, not in a traditional kennel, however, we do still have vaccines requirements for kennel cough (bordatella), parvo, distemper and rabies, as well as a negative fecal test within the past two weeks before your dog’s visit. We keep a structured routine with supervised play, enrichment, rest breaks, and time outdoors on our fenced property. I'm a professional dog trainer with over 10 years of experience, so I'm comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, reactive dogs, and dogs with special behavioral needs. I maintain a clean, structured, and safe environment for all dogs in our care. We use a HEPA air purifier and require all dogs to be up to date on vaccinations. Each dog also receives a quick health check at pickup.

Most days include outdoor play, walks around the property, enrichment activities, training games, naps, and lots of time to just relax. Dogs that enjoy socializing are paired with compatible playmates, while others receive more one-on-one time. A typical day includes supervised group or individual play, training sessions, and enrichment activities to keep dogs mentally and physically engaged. We rotate between play and focused training to reinforce good behavior and build skills throughout the day. Each dog gets hands-on attention to support their development in a safe, structured environment.

I also like to know about any behavioral concerns, including reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, or fears. I also require that all dogs are up to date on vaccinations. The more I know beforehand, the better I can make your dog's stay comfortable and stress-free!
