A typical day of pet sitting starts with an early morning check-in, where I make sure the pets are fed, have fresh water, and get plenty of love and attention. If I’m caring for a dog, I’ll take them for a nice morning walk to give them some exercise and fresh air. Throughout the day, I keep them engaged with playtime, cuddles, or mental stimulation like puzzles or training exercises. If they have any special dietary or medical needs, I make sure to follow their routine exactly. Midday, I’ll take dogs out for another walk or potty break, ensuring they stay active and comfortable. For cats or other small pets, I clean their litter boxes or enclosures and spend time interacting with them to keep them happy. In the afternoon or evening, I do another feeding and fresh water check, followed by a final walk or play session. If I’m doing an overnight stay, I make sure they’re settled in, comfortable, and feeling secure before bedtime. Throughout the day, I also send updates to the owners, sharing photos and letting them know their pets are happy and well cared for. Every pet is different, so I always tailor my care to their specific needs and routines!
