A typical day

I love to incorporate outings to parks, the necessary walks and sniffing routes, and if they like it, the occasional car ride or errand run. But I also think it’s important to have well-received enrichment activities that stimulate both their mind and their body. Toys, tug, fetch, extended petting, scratching, belly rubs, and don’t forget treat lick mats, bones, frozen goodies, and scavenger hunts etc. The bottom line is keep them happy, enrich their brains, and shower them with love and attention.

Pet care experience

I am a bona fide animal lover that has spent her entire life around dogs and cats as well as the occasional bunny, fish, bird, reptile, and rodent! I feel blessed to have been a caretaker to them and have learned so much from animals!! I am patient, calm under pressure, resourceful, compassionate, and playful. I’m also a firm believer that there’s no such thing as a bad pet.

Alia is absolutely amazing! If I could clone Alia and have her every time our pups need watching, I would. Not only did she maneuver a vet situation, but she was so resourceful and very communicative throughout the week. I couldn't ask for a better pet sitting experience. If I could give Alia 10 stars, I would!

This is my second time booking Alia and she did a very good job caring for my cat. I got daily updates with pictures that really out my mind at ease. I appreciate how diligent and consistent she is about this as I’ve had sitters in the past share less updates over the course of the visit or after the first time I booked them. Really looking forward to booking with Alia again!

Alia dog and house sat for us for 10 days while on vacation. We did a dog walk together beforehand so she could meet our pup. The good: communication was great, with picture updates every day, and she was honest about our dog stealing some of her lunch when it was left on the table. She was respectful of our house, leaving it very clean, and even doing laundry and re-making the bed with fresh sheets. The bad: from our doorbell camera we saw that she didn’t take our dog out until 10am the first day and noon the second. We messaged to ask her to please take the dog out earlier as discussed and noted in the care guide, and she did for the rest of the time, but the fact we had to ask was disconcerting. When we got home, we also thought the dog had gained weight. This was then confirmed when our neighbor who sometimes walks her looked shocked and asked if she’d still fit her harness when she came over, without us mentioning anything! Because of these issues we unfortunately can’t recommend Alia for a longer dog sitting stint, even though we got on well with her.
