Alex's capabilities as a pet caregiver are exemplified both in his extensive knowledge of animal care and in the personal devotion he has demonstrated towards his own dog's complex health challenges. He is highly attentive to proper feeding and has been willing on several occasions to advise me on selecting the proper food for my own pet. This connects to his previous experience in a pet store--an opportunity which introduced him to a wide variety of clients with various animals that demanded an array of diet and health specificities. These skills have beautifully translated into the care required for his own dog, Sombra, whom he and his wife rescued several years ago. Sombra requires a precise medication regiment as well as regular documentation of her physical well-being. She sees specialists to assist with muscular and behavioral issues, and Alex has remained steadfast in pursuing whatever medical attention is necessary to make her life as pain-free and loving as possible. I admire Alex's level of devotion, and I believe that this more broadly reflects the love he has for all animal companions. I am confident in Alex's abilities to be a responsible caregiver no matter the circumstances--whether it is a simple walk or long-term sitting opportunity, I know he would not shy away from treating the pet as if it were his own.
