I am available for care of cats of all sizes/ages, and dogs or puppies 40 lbs and under. I've held a lifelong passion for cats, and have been actively involved in cat and kitten fostering for 1.5 years. I have volunteered and fostered for organizations such as Austin Pets Alive!, PAWS, and San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter, and recently founded a 501(c)(3) kitten rescue for Hays County. I have 5 cats of my own, along with a goofy golden retriever! Your furry companions will be in attentive, gentle hands. I have hand raised orphaned kittens, which involves bottle and/or syringe feeding as frequent as every 2 hours, and provided care and medical transport to nursing mother cats and their kittens. I can also administer medication orally, topically or injected; I have cared for cats and kittens requiring a great deal of medical care and tenderly nursed them back to health. Generally I can take care of your pets between 9am and 10pm, but I can also be flexible with your needs. At this time I am only available for house sitting, drop in visits, and dog walks; though I am hoping to offer boarding in the future. I have a calm and patient demeanor when working with animals, and can ensure your pets are treated with kindness and understanding. Cats are especially prone to being nervous around new people, so this is something I can work with. If you have friendly animals they will receive lots of petting, attention and play; shy ones will be handled carefully and with all the space they need.
