I’ve done work experience shadowing Veterinary surgeons, and assisting with procedures. I’ve have spent my life around animals. I hope to study Veterinary medicine this autumn, and I also do horse riding.

When taking a dog for a walk, I would create a positive and enjoyable environment that promotes fun, play, and safety. I would choose a safe walking route away from heavy traffic and other hazards.

Schedule
I’m currently in my summer holiday after A-Levels, so I have plenty of free time. I’m mainly free during the weekdays, however this may vary.

- To promote fun and play, I would include activities that suit the dog's age, breed, and energy level. This could involve playing fetch in a secure area, practising simple training exercises, or using toys to encourage interaction. I would pay attention to the dog's body language and ensure activities remain enjoyable and not overwhelming. Safety would remain a priority throughout the walk. I would monitor the environment for potential risks, keep the dog under control at all times, and ensure it has access to water, especially in warm weather. I would also be mindful of other people, dogs, and wildlife, maintaining a respectful distance when necessary. By providing a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable experience, I would help support the dog's physical health, mental wellbeing, and overall happiness during the walk.
