Pet care experience

An Animal-Loving College Student!

I began dog walking for my neighbors at 8 years old and helped take care of my family’s french bulldog throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Given her high care needs, I have gained immense experience in caring for senior dogs and am confident in administering medication, both oral and injected. My Frenchie took oral medication multiple times a day during the last few years of her life, and I have given insulin to 2 different diabetic dogs. I have pets-sat for families with dogs, cats, and rodents. I absolutely adore dogs and would love to give your furry friend the best time while they’re in my care. ‼️BTW! I do offer boarding to dogs of all sizes but due to a high number of requests and me going back to school soon, I have marked myself as away since there will be periods of time where I will not be home. If you’re okay with your pup being left at home for less than 3 hours while I am in class, you can reach out and I’ll turn on boarding requests specifically for you!‼️

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, I try to make their stay with me as similar as their daily routine at home. I wake up when the owners usually wake up (yes, even if it’s as early as 5:30am!) and do my best to be in bed when the owners are, to give the dog a sense of familiarity while being in a new environment. I have a fenced-in yard and a wading pool. I know that dogs are family, and leaving them with a stranger can be so scary. I treat every dog as if they are my own, ensuring they’re comfortable and safe at all times. I also send tons of photos and videos so you can stay up to date on all the fun activities that your dog is up to.

Addison was so sweet and fast with her responses. She arrived on time and followed instructions thoroughly, & although my girl has a lot of anxiety she was calm and comfortable enough to go for a short walk with her. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy!

Addison took great care of Theo and sent me pictures and updates multiple times a day! She was super communicative the whole time I was gone and I can tell really cares about making the pets in her care feel at home :). I would not hesitate to use Addison again!

Addison was absolutely fantastic to my pup Dallas. She provided timely updates ( pictures and videos) on their day time activities and his overall temperament while we were away. She took extreme care in making sure she fully understood his behavior and favorite activities to make his stay that much more special. I look forward to booking with her again in the future!

Schedule

I’m currently working a part-time job and am a full time college student. During the school year, I have classes Mon-Thurs in the morning and early afternoon. Booking in advance helps me make sure your pet spends minimal time alone, which is preferred! My work, which is directly behind my house, sends the schedule out 2 weeks in advance so booking before the schedule comes out ensures I won’t work that day and can spend as much time playing and cuddling with your pup as possible! As a previous dog owner and a life-long dog lover, I know how scary it can be in a new environment and being able to be with your dog at all times helps put both of us! I understand my prices are on the higher side, but this is because your pup is included in every single thing I do while they’re in my care! If I go out to eat, they come with. Dog likes to swim? We’re going to the beach! Your pup will be with me 24/7 so you can be sure that they get nothing but the absolute best of care.

Please let me know ahead of time if your dog has any special needs, medical conditions, or behavioral concerns so I can provide the best possible care and be fully prepared. I am comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and personalities, but if your dog has a history of aggression, I would appreciate knowing in advance so I can ensure a safe and positive experience for both your pet and myself! I also appreciate knowing sleeping arrangements in advance, prior to boarding. If your dog sleeps in a dog bed, please bring it! I do not have a dog of my own, so I don’t have any dog beds. This goes for toys too. If your dog sleeps in the human bed, that’s great! I’ve got lots of room in my queen sized bed, just let me know so I can be prepared! For owners: I am familiar with canine CPR, although I am only formally certified in Human Basic Life Support (BLS). While I do not hold any animal medical certifications, I have taken the time to thoroughly educate myself on basic animal first aid, emergency care, and CPR for dogs of all sizes so that I can respond appropriately if an emergency were ever to occur. While I sincerely hope these skills are never needed, I believe being prepared is an important part of providing exceptional care. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities, and I strive to be ready for unexpected situations while ensuring they receive the best care possible, no matter what!
