I have a fenced yard, and two dogs at home. My pets generally get two walks a day and can play or sit outside enjoying the weather, especially the snow.

Every dog is unique, and it's important to know what makes your dog, your dog. What commands do they know? What is their general behavior like? Any specific triggers they may have? Additionally, it's important to know things like eating habits (grazer vs slow feeder vs normal eating), walking styles, compatiability with other dogs, animals, or humans, as well as how they are motivated (e.g. food or praise)?.
A typical day
Active play is important for dogs. I'll always check what type of activities your dog is used to, but some fun activities, in addition to walking, include fetch, hide and seek, and playing mirror games (mimicking movements). It's important that these activities never include chasing the dog though.

I've had dogs of all sorts growing up - from small to giant breed dogs, from labradors to livestock guardians intent on guarding their house from every falling leaf. I've fostered dogs, successfully, and I am now caring for the foster fail permanently. From walks to games to basic care, taking care of dogs is my passion.
