“James made our dog's first overnight stay away from home a big success. Many thanks to James, his wife De and their dogs Charlee and Chloe. They make Winston feel right at home and part of the family. James sent lots of pictures throughout the day and they clearly showed Winston having a wonderful time. We are taking a trip next week and we will be booking a stay with James because we know Winston will have a great time and be in good hands.”

“They were great with our boy Hudson. They gave them one on one attention, took him hiking and included him in their daily activities. She updated us with photos without asking. Will definitely use them again”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 20 years of experience caring for dogs. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and ages, from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs, and I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and routine. I’m an active person and love being outside, so frequent walks are something I genuinely enjoy, not just a chore! I’m happy to give your dog plenty of exercise, playtime, attention, and cuddles throughout the day. I’m also comfortable caring for elderly pets and administering medications when needed. I have a small Maltipoo of my own who is a very loved member of our family. I personally trained him, so I have hands-on experience with positive training, dog behavior, and helping dogs feel comfortable and understood. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing your dog is in caring, capable hands. I’ll follow your pet’s normal routine, give them plenty of love and attention, and treat them like one of my own. My goal is for them to have a happy, safe, and fun time while you’re away! I work from home and am self-employed, so I have a lot of flexibility. I’m able to provide frequent drop-ins and walks throughout the day when I’m not staying with a pet, rather than leaving them alone for long stretches. I genuinely love being active and taking dogs on walks, so getting outside for walks is something I look forward to! I’m happy to provide multiple walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention depending on each dog’s needs and routine. Because my schedule is flexible, I can also accommodate pets who do best with more frequent visits and need a little more attention and love. I care for every pet as if they were my own and always take the time to learn their individual routine, personality, and needs. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, potty breaks, playtime, and any special care their pets may need. For drop-ins and walks, I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and companionship…not just a quick visit. I especially enjoy taking dogs on walks and am happy to provide frequent walks or drop-ins when needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and keep things clean and tidy. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos so owners can feel comfortable knowing their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. If a pet stays in my home, they’ll be welcomed as part of the family and will receive plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and affection. We have a fully fenced in yard, so your pups will have a safe and supervised environment for extra outside time and sniffs. I also have a well-trained Maltipoo of my own who loves making new friends!

“John and his wife were amazing sitters for my dogs! At first my pup was nervous to be away from home and was very anxious to be in a new environment but they were able to comfort him and since his stay he’s been a lot more social and less growling at people so Thank you guys !! I highly recommend them!”

“This was my girls’ second weekend with Jessica and her boyfriend, and they were so excited the moment they realized where we were—that’s always such a comforting feeling. Jessica kept me updated with pictures and videos all weekend, and the dogs clearly had the time of their lives! I’ll definitely be booking with them every time I go out of town from now on!”

“I was a little reluctant leaving our boy with anyone. LaShanna and her family did an amazing job caring for Miko. We received many pictures and videos which helped to reassure us that he was being cared for perfectly! She was excellent at making sure Miko received his medicine each day and letting us know. I will use LaShannah again without hesitation.”

“Sosa and Kesha have found a a second home with Mayra & Jonathan. We are thankful to have found them when we did and look forward to using them again. They were extremely friendly and made my dogs feel at home away from ours.”

“The fact that you were smiling and had nothing bad to say about my babies, means the world to me! After I met you in person( when I dropped them off) I never worried about them and truly enjoyed my trip to Miami! The added comfort was that you sent me videos of them every day! We will definitely be back! Thank you sooo much! I will also refer you to who ever asks and even those that don't ask!💖”

“Awesome caretaker, wonderful person and great accommodations. Timely communicator and well knowledgeable and respectful. Will definitely rebook if available... Thanks for everything...”

“Samantha was AMAZING for our dogs. We have a puppy and we’re very nervous about leaving him, and our Boston needs his own emotional support human so it was not ideal to leave him either…. They were both so well taken care of and we appreciate the love she gave our boys while they stayed with her!”

“Alex is the BEST dog sitter ever. He has helped me tremendously with my Marley. She loves him and his family and I am soooo happy for this. I will always use him as my dog sitter moving forward.”

“So very happy with Ms. Cathy. She took good care of my dogs and sent me pictures very often. She is wonderful with dogs and I plan to have her take care of my babies in the future. I recommend her highly.”

“Katie was great ! I would use her again. The set up in the yard for my dog was beautiful. She also was great at sending pictures and updates on my dog. Thank you Katie for making me feel comfortable leaving my fur baby with you.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Meadowood Subdivision home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Meadowood Subdivision.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Meadowood Subdivision sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
