About: Hi! I'm Kayleigh, and animals have always been one of the biggest joys in my life. I've loved caring for pets for as long as I can remember, and I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with a member of your family. I’ve never not had a dog or cat in my home! I believe every pet is unique and deserves care that matches their personality and needs, i’m happy to meet them where they're at. I also understand that senior pets may need a little extra patience, gentleness, and attention. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable care and accommodate a variety of visit times throughout the week. Whether your pet needs a midday potty break, a drop-in visit while you're away, or extra attention and companionship, I'm happy to help. As a pet sitter, my goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'll provide plenty of updates and photos so you can relax knowing they're in good hands! In my free time, I enjoy reading, photography, plants, and of course meeting new furry friends. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your pet! I work from home, and have flexible hours. I can make most schedules work! I have a lot of free time to spend with your fur babies. I always make sure the animal is well fed and watered first, and usually clean up any toys or accidents while they eat. After that, it’s play time!
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my strong attention to detail, genuine love for animals, and experience with pets of all ages and needs. I have hands-on experience training puppies with basic commands and crate training, as well as providing gentle, attentive care for senior pets who may need medication, extra patience, or mobility support. I’m also highly reliable and communicative I always keep pet parents updated with messages and photos, so they feel connected and reassured while they're away. My calm, friendly approach helps pets feel safe and at ease, whether it’s their first time with a sitter or they need special care. I treat every animal like they’re my own, and that personal connection makes all the difference. Pet care fits into my daily routine as a consistent and rewarding responsibility. Every morning starts with feeding my dog and taking him for a quick walk to get some energy out before the day begins. In the evenings, I usually spend about 30 minutes either going on a longer walk or playing fetch at the park. On weekends, I make time for grooming like brushing his fur or giving him a bath if needed and sometimes schedule vet checkups or pick up new toys or treats. It’s a routine that keeps me grounded, and it’s always nice to end the day with a loyal companion by my side. When caring for pets in either my home or a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and consistent environment. For dogs, I ensure they have regular feeding times, fresh water, daily walks, and playtime to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. I also follow any specific instructions the client provides, such as administering medications or adhering to training routines. If I’m in a client’s home, I respect their space and maintain the pet’s regular schedule to reduce stress from their owner's absence. I clean up after the pet, monitor behavior for signs of illness or anxiety, and send updates (with photos) to the owner for peace of mind. Whether it’s overnight care, walking, or short visits, my goal is to make each pet feel safe and loved while their owner is away.

Customers always came back relieved because they knew that their pets were in great hands. My responsibilities included keeping the living space sanitary and comfortable, feeding, watering, cleaning, exercising, and monitoring the animals' health and behavior, and obviously a lot of added love and play time! I dog sit for a few people (friends/family) here in and stay at their homes when they are gone and love it so much, I decided to check out Rover! About: What sets me apart as a sitter is my deep love and understanding of dogs! I have two adorable toy poodles one is 2 years old and the other is just 8 months and they are truly my babies. Through raising them, I’ve gained a lot of experience with dogs of different ages and personalities. I’ve spent about a year in total attending training sessions to learn how to read dog behaviors, recognize their comfort levels, and train them with patience and love. I can tell when a dog is happy, nervous, or unsure, and I always make sure they feel safe and cared for. I’ve personally trained both of my dogs, and they are sweet, well-behaved pups thanks to the time and effort I’ve put in. I would treat your dogs just like I do mine—with kindness, attention, and lots of love! I also offer a safe and happy home environment with a fenced-in yard where dogs can play freely and securely. I work from home two days a week, so I’m able to keep an eye on your pet and provide care, snuggles, and playtime throughout the day. I know how important it is for pet parents to feel at ease when they’re away, and I promise to care for your dog like they’re part of the family. Whether they’re a playful puppy or a senior who just wants to relax, I’ll make sure they feel right at home! Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because it’s something I truly enjoy and prioritize. I currently work full time, but I’m usually available after 5:30 PM on weekdays to provide care, playtime, and attention to your pet. On weekends, I’m very flexible and available most of the time, which allows for longer visits, walks, or overnight stays if needed. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I’m happy to adjust my schedule to make sure they’re comfortable, safe, and happy. Two days a week, I work from home, which gives me even more flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. Whether that means letting them out for potty breaks, giving them one-on-one attention, or simply being there so they’re not alone, I’m able to provide a calm and caring environment. Since I already care for my own two dogs daily, routines like feeding, walking, and playtime are already built into my day. Adding more furry friends to that routine is something I truly look forward to it’s not just a task, but something I genuinely love doing! When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and fun environment. I have a fully fenced in yard where dogs can play and explore safely, along with a variety of dog toys and puzzles to keep them engaged and entertained. Inside, I have three separate rooms, which makes it easy to give dogs their own space if they need a break or prefer quiet time. Since I have two toy poodles of my own, I also have plenty of cozy blankets, beds, and enrichment toys to help make every dog feel right at home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat both the dog and their space with the utmost respect and care—just as I would hope someone would do in my own home. I follow all instructions provided, stick to the dog’s usual routine, and make sure to respect any house rules or preferences. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable and cared for in a familiar setting, while giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. Whether in my home or yours, I treat every pet like family!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
