“Kristy is wonderful! I would recommend her to anyone. She treated our dog as her own; sent daily updates including pictures and videos. Daisy had such a great time I’m convinced she didn’t even want to come home! We will absolutely be using Kristy anytime we need a dog sitter!”

“Quincy had a nice time with Donna. She slept in a large crated area and played in her fenced yard. It was a great spot to board our dog when we stayed in a rental house in the area that did not allow dogs.”

“Krystal was absolutely amazing! I had a cross-country move during which everything that could go wrong DID go wrong. Krystal was compassionate and flexible, and the one thing I didn’t have to worry about was whether Max was safe and well cared for. He is a city cat, so he gained a new appreciation for chicken watching, and her kiddos kept him snuggled and loved. They are a good distance from my new home, but I will make the trip for Krystal to keep him when I go out of town. She and her family were a true blessing when I needed help caring for Max. I will always be grateful.”

“The best! My dog LOVES going to the babysitter. I dropped her off this time and she ran right up to the house! Didn’t even look back! So grateful for this family!!! Thanks again!!!”

“Megan took care of our two boys while we were away for 6 nights and did such a great job!! We received pictures and updates every day and she was so quick to respond to any messages or updates from us. Super easy to work with and took great care of our dogs. Her dogs got along with ours so well. She’s our new go-to sitter for sure!”

“Sully had another great stay with Jessica, her kids, and his new best buddy Tucker! We have definitely found our ‘go to’ care provider for our Little Man when we need to be away. Thank you Jessica and Fam”

“Holly was absolutely amazing ! And definitely willl be using her again if we go out of town ! She was very very great at updates about our boy with pictures and texts to let us know how he was eating or sleeping and was beyond accommodating when it came to his eating times and how he slept and made him beyond comfortable!! Our boy had so so so much fun with holly and her family and treated sawyer like one of their own ! I can’t express really how amazing she is and would highly recommend her to sit for you !!!!”

“She got great pics!! My dog is not photogenic, she hides from the camera and I loved the shots she got. Multiple walks a day, clean and welcoming home. Great place for Gidget to have a mini vaca at.”

About: I’ve had dogs ever since I was a child, and have always begged my parents for a cat! I have experience pet sitting both dogs and cats, and have been in the business for more than 5 years! I can administer medicine, and any special care your animal might need. I’m happy to accommodate! I am a college student who has class MWF until 1:30! After that, I have the rest of the day to spend with your pet! I live in an apartment with grass all along the property. There is plenty of space for walks, and any exercise your pet might need!
“We had to use Megan for our Goldendoodle, Oakley, when we recently went out of town for almost two weeks..Megan was excellent when it came to our wild boy and gave us updates while we could receive them (we were in a cruise and couldn’t always send/receive messages). Megan’s prices were fair, her home was spacious and clean with a lot of room for the dogs, and we felt safe leaving our boy with her… we will definitely use Megan again for the future and will recommend her to our friends and family!! Thank you for everything, Megan!”

“This was Honiee’s first time staying with someone outside of family and Lauryn did an amazing job! She sent lots of picture/video updates making this experience a lot less nerve wracking. I’ve already rebooked!”

My apartment has multiple dog walking spots as well as a fenced in area for pups to run around.
“Jane did such a great job watching our sweet boy. She kept us updated the whole time we were gone. She also picked up and dropped off our dog which made the whole process so much easier. We will definitely have Jane watch benji again in the future!”

“This was our first time using Rover! Danita was absolutely awesome with Bandit. We can’t say enough good things about her! She sent us daily updates and pictures! She took Bandit on walks and he got plenty of exercise and fresh air. We will definitely use her again!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Experience! Highly Recommended! We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Megan and her family! We booked Marshall’s stay on the very same day, and from the beginning, Megan was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and attentive. She and her husband took excellent care of Marshall, and it was clear that he was in great hands. He came back happy, relaxed, and perfectly cared for, which meant everything to us! What truly stood out was Megan’s thoughtfulness and flexibility. She even offered to meet us at a more convenient location for pickup, allowing us to save time and enjoy more precious moments with our family during our vacation. That extra effort meant so much to us! Megan and her husband went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I would recommend them a thousand times over! If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and genuinely attentive to your pet, look no further. Thank you, Megan and family, for treating Marshall so wonderfully! We would absolutely book with you again!”

“This was our first time using Rover. Keli responded quickly to my request to care for our 2 dogs. We first did a meet and greet which I appreciated. We have one who is a little more anxious then the other, and he felt comfortable. She provided photos and videos and communicated well. She made us feel as ease. We appreciate Keli and her family. We will definitely be using Keli again when that time comes.”

About: Lifelong dog owner and experienced pet sitter. I’ve cared for my own dogs and watched friends’ and family’s pets for so many years. I work part-time and home typically by noon. If your pup is an overnight I do have safe places for your baby to stay while I’m gone. If your baby is super friendly and understands dog doors I have that available. #1 is safety and feeling comfortable and loved. My backyard has a wooden privacy fence. I’m present and interact with them. The backyard is big with lots of running space.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - McCookville
Bethany and husband were fantastic with our pup. They are so clearly animal lovers and cared for Shasta like she was one of their own. Shasta loved playing with their pups and when we picked her up, was happy and healthy, and as a bonus, smelled great! Thanks so much for your care!

Telecia was a match made in heaven. We were looking for a sitter for our gang of 3 and they loved her. Our oldest is a little iffy about new people and she rolled up in her yard like she’s known her for years! Our youngest is just a couple months old so we wanted someone who would give her the attention she requires. Not only was it my wife’s birthday but it was Telecia’s as well. She never hesitated to accept our booking or allow us to add an additional day when our flight was delayed. Stiletto, Bella and Willow thank you so much for taking care of them. Hope you have an amazing birthday.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their McCookville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your McCookville.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your McCookville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
