“You will be so happy you picked Stephanie!! She has watched both our dogs 2 times. The last time was for 10 days. When we picked up our dogs after the 10 days, our 11 month old Rottweiler actually guarded her from us for about a minute before he realized who we were. She must have loved him a lot for him to forgets us so quickly. LOL! She sent lots of pics and updates. Her husband also loved the dogs and they loved him. I will keep going back to her until she can’t do it anymore”

“Melissa went above and beyond for my dog. I felt so comfortable with him in her care. She sent several cute and funny pictures and even made me a cool magnet!! Wish I could give 10 stars and I Highly recommend !!!”

“Great couple to watch our pup. We wanted someone with a fenced in yard and other dogs to help socialize and tire our pup out and that’s exactly what we got. Our girl was happy to come back after the initial meet and greet and happy to book with them in the future.”

About: I have helped take care of friends' and neighbors' dogs/ pets for several years. I am very responsible and dependable. My husband and I have previously fostered dogs as well. I am currently working full time but have some time on the weekends to love on pets! My (human) girls would also love to help your fur babies play until they're worn out! We have a large yard that would provide plenty of room to run around. We do not have a fence so we would not be able to safely care for a dog that would take off.
“Alicia went above and beyond to take care of our yorkies while we were gone. They gave her a bit of trouble not wanting to go to the bathroom outside but she was amazing in asking questions and communicating every day how they were doing! She sent tons of pictures so we could see how much they were enjoying their stay. She was incredibly kind and I could tell really loves caring for animals! Would definitely book with Alicia again 😁”

I have been around dogs my whole life and would love to care for yours. I am currently a nurse in the area and use Rover when I am away at work so I would love to give back to the community and watch other pups while you are away! I know how difficult it is to find a trustworthy and reliable sitter and always want to treat your pups like my own! I will make sure to treat your home and pet with respect and follow all instructions left to properly care for your fur baby and make sure they get everything they need!
“Sam had a great weekend with Nan and her husband. He had a lot of outdoor time on the beautiful weekend, play time, and cuddle time. She sent many pictures showing how his weekend was going. I definitely recommend having Nan board your dog and would be happy to have Nan watch Sam again.”

Thank you for taking such good care 💕 of our Bella!!!!”

“Leah is great!! She took such good care of my old boy and also my house! She is great with communication, always quick to respond. I highly recommend Leah. She will treat your beloved pets as her own!”
“George was so good with our dog Ziggy. Our dog is a very anxious dog, so we worried how it would go- we had no worries with George taking care of him! Ziggy liked him right away and had a blast playing with him in the fenced in backyard. George made sure to spend a lot of time with Ziggy and sent us pictures and updates. 100% would recommend George!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats every day. I recently raised my own puppy who’s now a happy, well-behaved 1-year-old, so I’m very comfortable with puppy routines, training basics, and high-energy pets. I also have a 5-year-old cat, giving me years of experience with feline behavior, feeding schedules, and creating a calm, safe environment for more independent pets. What sets me apart is my patience, consistency, and genuine love for animals. I understand the different needs of young, active pets as well as more mature ones, and I always treat every animal with the same care and attention I give my own. I work full time throughout the week as a dental hygienist, that makes after work a great time for dog walking! This also means pet sitting is strictly weekends so I can give your pet my full attention ! I create a calm, safe, and pet-friendly environment where animals can relax and feel comfortable. I stick closely to each pet’s routine—feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision. Pets are never left unattended for long periods, and I keep their space clean, cozy, and stress-free.

95% of sitters in McCance can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
