About: I've been around dogs my entire life, both big and small! I've helped take care of my family dogs since I was 7, and been working with dogs beyond my family for 2 years. I have experience working with puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with disabilities. Your pup will never be wanting for affection! I'm working full-time during the week, so I am available for house sitting on weekends. I am available for dog walking and play dates during the weekday evenings and weekends. I can provide your fur baby with the bathing, brushing, medicating, exploring, and loving that they need to thrive. I have a small, friendly pup of my own who can play with your dog, and a car that can take them to the dog park if desired. Otherwise, I'm more than happy to provide them every comfort of their own home.

“We are so happy to have had Shurie come by to visit with our cats this weekend. So nice to be able to get away and know that your family is in good hands. We so appreciate Shurie!! She is so nice, and the cats loved her. Thank you so much Shurie, we thank you very, very much!!”

“Hound is extremely reliable. This is so important when you have to entrust the care of your family member to someone else! He is kind and patient with our pooch who can be cantankerous and picky. We are so grateful to the care he has provided. Thank you Hound.”

“Stacy is reliable, great with our cats and flexible. This trip we had some unexpected back and forth texts. Stacy rolled with all the changes and even noticed that some of our outdoor plants were wilting and watered them. In addition to looking after our cats, Stacy did a great job looking after everything! It gave me great peace of mind to know she was stopping by everyday.”

“Shylina did a wonderful job caring for our three senior cats, including giving one of our shy kitties her medication. Her daily updates and photos really put my mind at ease and helped me to enjoy my time away. We will definitely book her again for our next trip!”

“Angelina was absolutely amazing!! She cares and is super attentive to our pups during the sitting. If there was a mess in the house or if the puppies were just overly excited, she was sure to capture it and and share. There was always an abundance of pictures and an amazing note for each visit. She was awesome and one if not the best Rover we have ever had. I highly recommend her and will be looking at her first to book on our next getaway.”

About: I have experience caring for my family’s dogs as well as my boyfriend’s dog while their owners are out of town. I ensure they are taken outside for bathroom breaks before coming inside, maintain a consistent feeding schedule, and always make sure they have fresh food and water. I also enjoy working with dogs on basic training and have successfully taught my own dog commands such as “sit” and “shake.” I’m currently working full time at a daycare in Byron MN. I’m free anytime after 5pm-9pm on most weeknights and I’m available anytime on the weekends! I care for pets like they’re my own. I make sure pets are well feed and have water. I make sure to keep an eye on them well outside.

“Gabrielle was the greatest to watch our dog. She was so patient with getting to know our dog and take care of her. She sent pictures every visit she had and our dog looked like she was having a great time! We would gladly have Gabrielle watch our dog again!”
About: I have had dogs my whole life. Right now I have to amazing dogs that are great with other dogs. If need be can be separated in different room. I currently work full time Monday through Friday but am available after 5pm every day and totally open on the weekends. Would be able to do early mornings as well. My dogs are allowed to free roam the house during the day and are kenneled at night we have a leash for in the backyard. Love to go on walks.
About: I have had dogs all my life and have been regularly house sitting for family friends for at least 5 years now. I am familiar with older dogs who have special needs and also am good with puppies! I have a part time job as a waitress which usually takes up 15-20 hours of my week and only 4-5 hours a day. I I absolutely love animals, even farm-sat a few times! My dogs are small with plenty of energy so I try to have them outside as long as the weather lets me. Since they are small I am cautious to take them to the dog park. If I sit for a larger dog with experience being at the park I have no problem taking them for an hour or so. I actually enjoy seeing all the dogs play.
About: I provide dog/cat sitting in your home. I just spent a week at a lady’s home watching her two dogs. One had an energetic personality and the other had three Legs! I helped him jump on the bed, walk down the stairs, and go for walks. I also pet sat for my friends mom. She has three dogs. All different sizes. I played fetch, made sure I got to her house on time to let them out, and fed on the desired times. I’ve also watched A Doberman, two border collies, one corgi, one Gordon setter, and last but not least an Aussie spaniel mix all in the same house. They were full of energy but very well mannered. I can give diabetic dogs shots as long as they behave. I also have experience with incontinent dogs and wheelchair dogs. I’ve watched horses, cats, goats, small animals including rabbits, geckos, chickens and fish. Please consider me for pet sitting your fury animals. I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you
About: We have an array in of experience with many different types of animals. We’ve had pets for 10+years. Fortunately we currently have two loving and wonderful dogs who make great companions while your four legged family members need a place to stay! We have very accommodating work schedules. This is allows for better care for your companions. We strive to follow your pets routine to the best of our abilities. We have a fenced in yard that is perfect for sniffs, potty breaks, and most importantly PLAYTIME. Our dogs are allowed all throughout the house, and furniture. We are animal lovers at heart, and will welcome your pets as our own!
About: I have taken care of pets for as long as I can remember. I currently have 2 dogs named Charlie and Digger (they are both Labs) and an indoor cat named Milton. My husband and I own a farm near Zumbrota, MN where we have over 100 cattle, 2 alpacas, 2 goats, lots of barn cats, and chickens. I work in EMS where I have random days off during the week and every weekend off. My schedule is flexible and I can try to accommodate any vacation or pet sitting needs you and your family may have. At this time I do prefer to watch animals in their own home where they are familiar with their surroundings. On days that I work I can do AM and PM drop ins and on my days off I can accommodate as many drop ins as needed. I will board pets at my home, but I do live on a fairly busy highway with an unfenced yard. If you wish for me to watch your pet in my home, I do ask that they are very well trained off leash or are content being on a long leash outside. I ask this for your pets safety & would absolutely hate for something to happen. When watching pets in my home, my husband comes home every day for lunch during the week and can accommodate play time & bathroom breaks.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
