“Kathleen took great care of our senior cat and our home. She navigated some technical challenges with our alarm system with professionalism and good humor. Highly recommend. Will definitely re-book.”

“Amy was amazing! She took incredible care of my 4 little ones, including my special needs dog, while I traveled for a long, stressful weekend. She gave regular updates and clearly cared for my pets like her own. I couldn’t be happier!”

“Allison was amazing with our pittie mix rescue who was a stray for 2 years and can be anxious and skittish. She immediately loved Allison (more so than she even loves us, I was joking with my husband) and even went to sleep while Allison was watching her which is unheard of for our dog. Highly recommend, Allison is truly a dog whisperer!”

About: NOTE: BASED OUT OF BURLINGTON, VT FOR THE COLLEGE SEASON I’ve owned and cared for dogs, cats, and everything in-between for as long as I can remember. From pit-bulls to terriers, handicapped chickens to one eyed kittens and animals with at least 8 legs, i’ve seen it all. Apart from caring for my own dogs, cats, and other pets over the years, I did freelance petsitting and dog walking in and around my neighborhood for around seven years, ranging from dog walks while the owner was at work, to late night cat feedings and prescription medication administration, to trying to give a rabbit a bath. I have a high level of experience caring for both puppies/kittens and elderly dogs and cats, having worked to foster puppies and kittens with my local ASPCA for nearly a decade as well as helped raise and train one of my family dogs, and care for my elderly, disabled dog in her later years. I also have background training with the ASPCA regarding animal safety (specifically reactive or defensive dogs) and basic dog and cat body language, crucial aspects of keeping everyone involved healthy and happy! I’m currently a college student home for the summer- my schedule is very open and very flexible, depending on the individual needs of the animal. I can match whatever level of energy your pet needs within the home- whether it be constant cuddles and attention, hours of playtime, or just an omniscient hand filling the food bowl and grabbing the leash! I’m comfortable administering oral or topical medications, able to control and crate dogs if the need arises, and (i’d like to think) i’ve learned some pretty good strategies to stop unwanted barking late at night over the years. I value the mental and physical comfort of the animal i’m caring for first and foremost, whether that means hands on attention or a more quiet, calm approach to time spent with your pet. I’m willing to care for and spend time with shy or reactive dogs as long as they’re within my size range. Having owned both a very senile, timid dog and a very reactive, defensive dog, it’s important to me that they receive the amount of care and attention in the home they deserve :)

“Garrett was absolutely amazing! There is nothing better then having my furry babies at home and being so well taken care of! It has taken me a long time to replace my past dog sitter, but I have finally found someone just as picky as me! Garrett can put you in touch with me if you want more information!”

“Amanda was awesome! She took great care of my senior dogs and left my home cleaner than it was when I left for vacation. Amanda communicated with me during my trip to let me know the pups were ok and even picked up a few toys for my sweet boy. Will definitely work with Amanda again!”

“She was so nice and kind! I really appreciate her service and loving on my girls. She took really good care of them and she sent me pictures of them cuddling🥰 I would recommend her to anyone and will be booking her again in the future!”

About: I had two dogs growing up so I have been around them my whole life. I currently have a golden retriever that lives with me as well. I have dog-sat a basset hound since he was a puppy as well as a miniature dachshund and helped train them. I have a lot of patience so puppies are no issue! I also love getting my steps in so long walks are okay with me! I am okay with going to your residence or bringing your dog to mine as long as they are friendly! (There are good trails to walk where I live and I have a private dog park as well) I am currently on summer break from college so I am around every day other than a vacation I have planned. When school starts back up at the end of August my schedule will be a little less open. I have a golden retriever that gets along with other animals very well!! I am very respectful of others homes and will make sure to follow all instructions given.

“We had a wonderful experience with Shivani! Shivani took the time to meet with us before her extended in-home stay with our elder cat Harrison. Shivani was able to follow a long list of specific care instructions despite it being her first time caring for Harrison. During the stay, Shivani communicated effectively, keeping me updated regularly on Harrison’s well-being. Her thoughtfulness towards our cat's special diet and medication needs was exceptional. We felt at ease knowing my furry friend was in such caring hands. When we returned, our cat was in good spirits and didn’t seem affected by our absence, which speaks to the level of care Shivani provided to him. I would highly recommended Shivani for any future jobs.”

“Leslie was such a fabulous find via Rover. We reached out with a last minute request and Leslie went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute schedule request AND to provide for our kitties. One of our kitties is very sensitive, has a difficult time warming up to new comers, and is notoriously difficult while taking her pill. Leslie followed instructions to the “T” and was committed to the care of our kitties. Leslie was wonderful and we will certainly be booking with her again in future and couldn’t give her a better review or higher recommendation!!”

About: Hello! I’m Hannah and I love dogs and cats! I currently own two cats; Sterling and Pigeon. I love dogs though and am hoping to adopt one soon! I have been pet/house sitting for about fifteen years now and I also have experience working with older pets and puppies/kittens. I am also able to collect mail/water plants as needed. I am unable to have pets stay at my place but I am more than glad to come to your fur-babies! I am able to take them on walks and to check in on them while you are on vacation. I work a 9-5 but I am willing to care for and walk pets during my free time I work a daily 9-5 most days and would be able to make house calls after those times as well a stop in on weekends N/A - cannot care for pets in my own home as its an apartment and I own two cats who would not appreciate the extra houseguests!

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs and cats before. I also have plenty experience taking care of bigger animals as I used to be a working student at the barn I boarded my horses at from when I was 10-15. I’ve been trusted by many friends and family to take care of their furry friends including but not limited to horses, bunnies, fish, dogs, and cats. I have experience with grooming dogs as well due to having a golden doodle of my own. If you have any more questions feel free to ask! I currently work a Part-time job that schedules me 2-3 times a week so I have a lot of availability to make house visits or spend the day as much as you would need me to! I also love to go on walks and take hikes so if I am looking after an Active dog it is no problem! If your dog likes to play with other dogs I have a fenced in yard and two other dogs of mine who are very friendly. I am very neat and organized so the chance of your animal eating something or getting into something they’re not supposed to is very slim.

About: Since the age of 16 I have happily taken care of cats, dogs, bunnies, and other creatures for neighbors and friends. My natural ability to connect with animals coupled with my meticulous care and attention to their specific feeding, walking, and medicine schedules make me a great animal caretaker. I am currently only working part time, so I am available to walk and pet sit on both weekdays and weekends from morning until evening. My work shifts are only in the afternoons twice a week. I am a responsible guest who is willing to accommodate clients’ specific wants and needs im regards to pet sitting, whether it be for quick dog walks or longer stays. If your pet needs to be crated while alone, I am more than happy to accommodate. If they are not allowed in certain rooms or on certain pieces of furniture, I will make note of that. If they are allowed to roam wherever, I am also happy to allow that! Additional, I respect guests’ privacy and treat their homes with the utmost care and respect while pet sitting.

Alicia G.Star Sitter
“I can’t recommend Alicia enough—she’s an amazing dog sitter! From the moment she met my puppy, it was clear she genuinely loves and understands animals. She’s reliable, attentive, and goes above and beyond to make sure my dog feels safe, happy, and entertained. The only downside? I’m beginning to think my dog likes Alicia more than he likes me! If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like family, Alicia is the one!”

Mays Chapel pet parents share their Rover experiences
I recently had the pleasure of hiring Carley to house sit and care for my dog, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment we met, she was warm, professional, and clearly experienced with animals. My dog took to her right away, which gave me immediate peace of mind. Throughout the stay, she kept me updated with messages and photos, which I really appreciated. It was clear she treated my home and my dog with the utmost care and respect. I came back to a happy, relaxed pup - what more could you ask for? I highly recommend Carley to anyone looking for a trustworthy, kind, and attentive pet sitter.

You definitely want Leslie caring for your pet. She has experience with a multiple of animals as well as levels of care (administering medicine, special food schedules, etc.) and will love your pet as much as you do. Poppy loves her and I know we can count on Leslie to love Poppy back. We will definitely be welcoming Leslie back!
Absolutely amazing dog sitter! Dependable, thoughtful, and so loving with both our puppy and older dog. She kept us updated with photos and messages, followed all instructions perfectly, and gave each dog the individual attention they needed. We came home to two very happy, well-cared-for pups! Highly recommend!
