Even though these made us miss her all the more, we were happy to know she was being cared for with love. We will definitely contact Rich the next time we need to board Star.”

About: I've been a huge pet lover since I was little! I've taken care of my family and neighbor's dogs since I was little, and I recently started taking care of family friends' dogs in my own home. I have experience administering meds for doggies on medication, love working out so I can keep up with any active ones, and have done grooming before! I have experience with puppies all the way to senior dogs, as well as small doggies all the way to big dogs. I love em all!! I just graduated college, and I am looking for full-time industry jobs, so I am home/available all day, and I'm ready to build my routines/schedules around your fur baby and make them my top priority! For boarding, I provide a secure, pet-proofed home. I like to do slow/controlled introductions with my roommates (all female college students) and me and keep close supervision at all times, especially in the beginning. I have an unfenced yard, but I never let untrained and/or unleashed doggies out there without constant supervision. I will follow all your care instructions and medication schedules. Everything mentioned applies for house sitting and dog walking! I do not own any pets myself, so I am open for doggies who cannot be around other animals.

However, after our initial communications and meet and greet, we felt very confident in leaving Faye with Meagan. Meagan was very easy to communicate with and sent some great pictures! Faye also got along very well with her dogs. I would highly recommend!!!”

“Blair was exceptional with my diabetic cat Rebel while I was recently out of the country. She cared for him like he was her own, making sure all of his needs were met and that he felt lots of love. Blair is thorough, thoughtful, and very trustworthy and I’m so grateful she’s been able to help with my family’s various pets and their needs!”

“Michelle was absolutely amazing and reliable with my cat! She made being away super easy and I never had to worry as she kept me updated. I definitely recommend her, your pet will be in good hands!!”

“Megan was awesome! Very thoughtful and communicative when watching our kitty. We really appreciated the updates and pictures while we were away. Would definitely ask Megan to come back!”

“Maya was fantastic. She took such good care of our 3 kitties for 2 weeks. She went out of her way to make sure they were ok during the snowstorm and cold. She gives them attention (plays, grooms etc), and ensures they eat, have fresh water, checks their wellbeing. (Also the litterboxes were well maintained - she even put the garbage out) We are impressed - her compassionate care and love for our furries shows through everything she did — in addition she looks after your house (all is clean, plants were checked, etc…)- (we had water issue she reported immediately and helped clear) . She communicates frequently and keeps you posted — in a nutshell if you look for someone for your pet — we would not hesitate to recommend Maya and certainly hope she is available for our next trip. We could not be happier.”

“Ashley took wonderful care of my two cats, one of whom is diabetic and requires insulin injections every 12 hours. Ashley was very reliable and always on time. She gave detailed updates and took cute pictures of my babies. She also was willing to water my newly planted trees. We are so glad to have found such an excellent sitter!”

“Emily is a gem. She has watched our 3 cats (1 a diabetic who requires insulin twice a day) several times and has always done a terrific job. Our last trip, Emily visited faithfully despite having to blaze a trail to the house following a raging snowstorm. I cannot praise her enough.”

About: I began seeking clients on Rover in the summer of 2025 as a way to make some more money for college and I love animals so I figured “why not!” - I found myself really bonding with every dog/cat I watched and cared for them as my own. I accept as many jobs as I possibly can because I understand the importance of having someone stay with your fur babies who knows how to care for them in all aspects. My 7 month old puppy died due to negligence from his pet sitter and got hit by a car. Due to that experience, I have shifted my focus to mainly Rover, hoping I can provide families with the comfort and assurance that I will care for their animals with the respect and love they all deserve. I have experience with all kinds of animals (even bunnies, horses, fish, and more!) I was a working student from the ages of 10-15 years old and have my own horse so big dogs don’t scare me. I know how to deal with skittish or aggressive dogs because I had to learn to groom my own goldendoodle as he got older and became unpredictable due to dementia. It is important for me to make sure the animals I look after feel heard, are never left alone for too long, and have fun during my time with them! Please feel free to reach out with any other questions!! I only have one other job exercising steeple chase horses in the early mornings so I have a lot of availability to make house visits or spend the day as much as you would need me to! I also love to go on walks and take hikes, so if I am looking after an Active dog it is no problem! If your dog likes to play with other dogs I have a fenced in yard and two other dogs of mine who are very friendly. I am very neat and organized so the chance of your animal eating something or getting into something they’re not supposed to is very slim.

“Maria took such great care of my cat! I could tell he was so happy with the time he spent with her. She sent plenty of videos and pictures of him which I loved and she followed the instructions I left for his care perfectly. My cat was so calm when we got home that I could tell all his needs had been well met while we were gone.”

“We were so happy with Marina's care of our cat Lyra. She was very proactive and detail oriented when meeting lyra for the first time, and sent great photos every day while we were gone. Look forward to having her help again in the future!”

“Sean and his partner Paulina were quick to respond to all messages and showed up on time, both to our meet and greet and to all three cat-sitting sessions while we were out of town. Our two babies were well fed and watered, and the more social one got some attention and play from Paulina too. The shy guy had a cleaned litter box to use when he came out of hiding after they left, but before that they even watered the flower baskets on our porch as a heat wave was starting. Thanks again Sean and Paulina!”

About: I’ve cared for a family dog and a dog of my own for 1 year. My own dog is a pitbull mix, who was high energy and untrained when I adopted him. I have experience with all kinds of training levels and dog strength and am excited to meet your animal! I also foster dogs when I can I work full time and am out of the house for 9 hours 8-5 Monday-Friday, but my routine includes feeding and a short walk in the morning, followed by an extended walk and dinner in the evenings. Lots of snuggle time at night! I live in a community with a lot of greenery and space to walk dogs, as well as a dog park for them to run around unleashed!

About: What sets me apart is the level of patience, attention, and calm care I provide for every cat I look after. I’ve grown up around cats and have experience caring for cats with different personalities, from very social and playful to shy and independent, so I understand that every cat has their own comfort level and routine. I also have experience pet and house sitting for neighbors and family friends, and I always make it a priority to create a safe, low-stress environment where cats can feel comfortable while their owners are away. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, cleaning litter boxes, giving medications if needed, and paying close attention to each cat’s behavior and needs. I know many cats can be anxious around new people, so I’m very patient and never force interaction. I take the time to let cats warm up at their own pace while still making sure they feel cared for, safe, and loved. Most importantly, I genuinely love animals and treat every cat with the same care and attention I would want for my own pets.
About: I’ve taken care of many animals since I was 12. I currently work at The Diggs at Paws and Claws. “Ashleigh was a pleasure to work with; very sweet, punctual and professional. I HIGHLY recommend her if you are in need of someone you can TRUST to take care of your fur babies while away.”

“Shannon has been absolutely amazing! I’ve been in Baltimore for work and decided to find a place my dog could go to at least once a week for fun. Shannon and her family treat Dori like family. She’s very accommodating to our schedule and Dori always comes home tired out from a day of fun! We’ll definitely be returning if we come back up to Baltimore!”

“Veronica is amazing! Lily had the absolute best time there playing with her dogs, receiving further potty training, and I got the best updates throughout the day. She’ll definitely be returning, thank you Veronica!!”

“Olga took such great care of my baby Remy! He is a very active dog and she took him on several walks and showed him so much love. He was totally exhausted when he came home and even slept in the next day, which I love. She was flexible too, as pickup details shifted during his stay. I would highly recommend Olga to anyone!”

“Watched my puppy on a very short notice. She sent pics and let me know how he was doing. House was clean. She and her husband were really nice. Will use again. Thanks again.”

“Poppy gets excited to get to Crissy's house and enjoys her time with Dublin. Crissy is flexible on timing when I've bumped into conflicts, and adjusting recurring days.”

“Andrew is absolutely Amazing! Not only did he make my husband and I feel extremely comfortable leaving our baby, she had the time of her life! We will continue rebooking him weekly!”

“Emily was amazing! We did a meet and greet a few days before hand and then on the actual day, my dog remembered her and was so excited to be back. I was worried because he’s a bit of a Velcro dog but Emily said he slept behind her while she worked and spent some time outside with her dog as well playing. 10/10, I will book Emily and Patrick next time I need a sitter.”

About: With 15 years of pet ownership, I pride myself on being patient, reliable, and communicative. I'm a pet owner too, so I know how important it is to stick to your pet's routine and send plenty of updates so you can relax. As a graduate student, I have a very flexible schedule. My campus is only a 10-minute drive away, which means I can easily come home to check on your pet every 2-4 hours, or as often as needed. My neighborhood has plenty of green spaces and safe areas, perfect for long walks and playtime. I only take on one boarding client at a time, which could include two dogs per board if they come from the same client. My home features a secure, fenced-in backyard with plenty of grass, giving your pet a safe space to play and take comfortable potty breaks. I have a friendly, 5-year-old Siberian Husky who loves making new friends. For everyone's safety, he is neutered and kept completely up-to-date on all vaccinations and routine care. I also have an XL dog crate available for your dog's use if that is part of their normal routine.
About: I have taken care of pets for most of my life, (dogs and cats).. Our last dog lived to be almost 17 due to great care and love. I welcome any pets. i will care for them as they are mine. I am a retired nurse practitioner and home most hours of each day. We live in a dog walking community and close to parks ideal for long walks. Loch Raven Reservoir is close to our home with many great trails. I have a fenced yard with a pool. I would not leave any dog alone in the yard, our neighborhood is great for walking. I will only take pets friendly to children.
About: My dog and I work from home all day and we'd love your pup to come hang out with us! I did my PhD at Johns Hopkins and now work as a remote tech professional. I have a 5-year-old lab/shepherd mix. I have babysat and fostered dogs of all shapes and sizes, including dogs with special needs. I'm the girl who takes better care of her dog than myself. I'm talkin' three 45+ minute walks a day, human-grade dog food with special toppings, and only positive reinforcement. I know how special your fur baby is and I know it can be scary to trust someone else with them--trust me, I've been there. I would treat them the exact same way I treat my own dog--with attention, care, respect, and lots of love. Your dog will be supervised at all times in a large 3BR condo with large living spaces, plenty of toys and places to lounge. Oh--and a goofy furry friend named Trevor! I work from home and keep a pretty typical schedule--my dog and I go for a 30-45 min walk around 7:30 AM, a 45-90 min walk around 4PM, and then a 30-45 min walk around 8PM. In between, he lounges while I work with breaks for cuddles and play. I would adjust walking lengths to your dog's needs and can do more potty and play breaks if needed! I have a large 3BR condo with a large living area, study (where I work), and dining area. Dogs are allowed on my couch and bed but there are also dog beds in nearly every room. My kitchen has a door and my pantry has a door that I keep closed so your dog wont get into any food they're not supposed to.
“Kassandra was absolutely magnificent! Super kind, caring, and incredibly gentle with Chloe. I’m beyond grateful for the thoughtful, detailed care she provided. She’s truly a wonderful human, and Chloe already adores her. Thank you so much!”

“Liz was so kind and amazing with Maverick. Sent me pics and updates throughout the day and even helped teach Mav some new skills. I felt super comfortable trusting her and would recommend her to anyone!!”

“Rodney was pleasant to work with. We were sent pictures during the day of Milo playing. The visit also helped on socializing skills for Milo. Will use Rodney again.”

About: I have owned my own kitties for 15+ years. I have also fostered medical and special needs cats and dogs for 3 years as well. I will love your babies like my own! I am currently not working so I am available full time. I do require 1 days notice for bookings and 1 day cancellation. However, please feel free to contact me to discuss specific times and details. I have a big 2 bedroom condo and 2 kitties who love other animals! I am also able to follow any crating instructions your pet may require.
“Shanikki is great with all dog breeds and they feel comfortable in her care. She is great at communicating and always gets back to booking requests promptly. So thankful for her great pet sitting!”

About: While new to pet sitting, I am not new to loving and caring for friends and family dogs. I’ve been a volunteer at local animal shelters in the past and have experience with a variety of dogs - young and old, different breeds, behaviors, etc. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and when I adopted my boxer/beagle mix, Sasha, from the shelter at two years old, she became my greatest teacher, showing me how to love deeply, be patient, and make the tough calls that come with being a devoted pet parent. I have experience caring for dogs at every life stage, from bouncy puppies to sweet seniors. Special food requirements? Daily meds? I’ve got it covered. I pay close attention to each dog’s unique personality ... some thrive on extra snuggles, others prefer long walks, backyard playtime, or peaceful naps in the sun on the deck. I think it’s important to set up a meet-and-greet with new clients. It’s the best way for us to see if we’re a good match and to go over your pet-care needs in person. It’s also a great opportunity to get all those questions answered, and chatting face-to-face just makes things smoother. And honestly, meeting a new pup is the best part! At the end of the day, we know who’s really in charge: the dogs. Our job is to make sure they’re happy, healthy, and surrounded by love. I work from home and have the flexibility to play in the backyard, take walks, and provide personalized care as needed. In the last year I became especially skilled at taking care of our senior dog so am ready to provide any specialty care if needed. I have a fenced yard and quiet neighborhood with walkable sidewalks and lots of opportunities for sniffing out the perfect spots. No other pets or children in my home.

“Great and reliable dog walking. He is great with communicating and answering any concerns you have while away. My pup loves him, and Curtis seems to genuinely enjoy their time together as well. I would recommend Curtis 1000000%”

“Maria has been great for me and my dogs. She immediately won them over during our meet and greet. She send regular updates and photos which are much appreciated while I’m gone. I can also tell she truly cares by the questions she asks regarding the dogs needs.”

“Alex did a great job walking my senior pup the past two weeks! He's very responsive on the app and was even willing to be flexible on the timing when something came up last minute. I recommend him for anyone looking for a dependable walker. Thanks Alex!”

“Ugo does an exceptional job walking my pup (who apparently considers humans to be her butlers) and then watering and feeding her at the conclusion of the walk. She is very calm and gentle to which my dog responds well. She is definitely a dog whisperer. Highly recommend Ugo to care for your for babies.”

“Marina is very very good with dogs - and with dogs of all ages. At one point I had 5 dogs in my house and she was fantastic. She walks and trains or she plays with them when doing a drop in!”
“Elise is fantastic! She is so reliable and respectful. Her communication when taking care of my pup is always so reassuring! 10/10 would recommend her for any of your pets!”

“My Zeus is so happy with Dimitri that when he arrives he grabs his leash and refuses to let us say hi! We are extremely happy with Dimitri he is on time and communicates very well with any changes or updates. I would highly recommend him just not on my day and time.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, attention, and communication I provide. I understand that pets are family, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. Whether your dog is energetic and loves long walks or prefers a slower pace, I tailor my care to their individual needs and personality. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. As a teacher on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and am looking for a meaningful way to stay active while helping pet owners care for their dogs. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. In a client's home, I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, and household rules to help pets maintain their normal routine and feel comfortable in their familiar environment. During walks, I remain attentive to my surroundings, keep dogs securely leashed, avoid unsafe areas, and monitor for signs of stress, fatigue, or overheating. I take the time to learn each dog's personality, energy level, and needs so I can provide care that is both safe and enjoyable.
“Brian took great care of my girl, Lemon! He made sure the plan for Lem was super clear beforehand, which I especially appreciated since the schedule I gave him to complement my friend's visit schedule was not perfectly regular, and he didn't miss a visit! He also had to deal with a terrible cold spell, but when he couldn't walk Lemon for more than 5 minutes at a time (about all she can tolerate when it's that cold), he took her for two short walks to make sure she did all her business and then played ball with her in the house. We came home to a dog who, while happy to see us, was clearly doing just fine without us, which is all I can ask for :)”

About: Thank you for considering me. I’ll treat your dog as a member of my own family. I have experience with dogs who have medical or speacial limits. I have lived with dogs my whole life. I have experience with other pets such as cats, snakes, rabbits, lizards, and fish. I love sending you photo updates on your pet. I do understand that the pets decide whether or not to accept someone as a sitter. I hope to get to know your amazing pets, just as well as you do. Thank you. I have a very flexible schedule. I am currently investing myself in education, and preparation for an apprenticeship. Giving time to pet care would be a highlight to my day. Although this was originally created for sitting I am more than confident in walking your dog. I would love to know what training your dog may already have so that I can work with it, rather than against it. If your dog has no training, perhaps we could practice some walking skills together

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life! Since I was a kid, we’ve always had dogs in the house, and as I grew older, I became the primary care taker of my dogs back home in Texas. I’m good at following complex regimens, from training details, feeding schedules, and medication administration! I’m am very flexible and comfortable around all dogs. I especially love larger pups. I have just graduated undergrad, so my availability has definitely freed up recently! I am available early mornings during the weekdays and most afternoons for both weekdays and weekends. To me, caring for pets also means giving them all the necessary attention! I love interacting with them at home with gentle play. Outside, I love to take my dogs to a park and let them run around and get their exercise. My dogs love to fetch, so I can’t forget to take a ball with me on our walks! I am always watching for the time, making sure that they are eating and pottying on schedule! My ultimate goal is to ensure that a pet is completely comfortable and safe, whether that means running around with them or taking a very calm walk!!

“My husband & I were ever so grateful to have our dog, Star, board with Rich. We had never been away from her for 2 weeks before and we hated the idea of leaving her in a cold, cinder-block kennel. Rich provided a warm, friendly home where we could trust that Star enjoyed her stay. We were happy to get updates and pictures of Star throughout our vacation. Even though these made us miss her all the more, we were happy to know she was being cared for with love. We will definitely contact Rich the next time we need to board Star.”

“We suddenly and unexpectedly needed a dog sitter for 6 straight days during the holidays (!!), and were able to book Kaitlyn with less than 24-hours notice. She was quick to reply, so understanding and compassionate, and made us feel a little less stressed about leaving town without our dog. She sent updates and photos throughout, and it was clear our dog was having a great time snuggling and playing with her and her own dogs. We would definitely hire Kaitlyn again.”

“Brandon was absolutely wonderful! He is a very nice gentleman, reliable and very responsive. He gave me updates and sent awesome photos. It gave me such a piece of mind while on vacation. He took care of my 4 year old yellow Lab Harley like his own. I know, because when I picked him up, he looked happy and calm, smiling and waggling his tail. He was just very happy to see me and very happy where i left him. No signs of anxiety being left in somebody else’s house with a total stranger. I know he had a great time away from home. Another wonderful thing is that Brandon lives in a nice neighborhood and has an awesome big fenced backyard. Perfect for accommodations. I highly recommend Brandon and i am looking forward to booking him again 😊 Thank you so much Brandon!”

“Virgina watched my retired guide dog Harry in her home while I was traveling for business. She made sure everyone would get along beforehand and took time to meet and talk with me. This was the first time Harry was staying with someone he didn't know and I was worried he'd be anxious. He had a good time with her senior dog Chip. I'll likely book with her again.”

“Shannon is great. She sent me pictures of Flopi twice a day. She also let me know if he was eating and if he was playful or shy with the other dogs.”

“Maya and Zori had a blast with Jill. Jill sent lots of pics which was great! I would recommend using her and would use her again for overnight stays/walks.”

“Elizabeth took great care of my dog. She gave lots of updates and was a pleasure to work with. My dog loves her and seemed so happy while she boarded with her.”
