I work from home, so not only can I be present with you pet all day, but I might LOVE the company more than they do. I always aim to match the energy and needs of each individual pet. In a client’s home, I keep their routine as consistent as possible—whether that’s feeding schedules, playtime, litter box cleaning, walks, or just quiet companionship. I take time to learn what each pet is comfortable with and adjust my approach accordingly. For cats, that might mean giving them space and earning their trust slowly. For dogs, it could mean regular walks, exercise (including runs if they’re up for it!), and lots of attention.
