“Jody went out of her way to take care of my dog, Ama. She really connected with her and you can see that she has a lot of experience working with dogs and is very passionate about them. Ama really enjoyed their walks together. I felt so much better knowing my dog was being taken care of”

“Brianna was everything we could have wanted in a sitter for our two cats. We felt comfortable being away from them on a two-week trip. Brianna works in a vet office and already knew how to get acquainted with the cats and gain their trust. She spent the night, played with them, fed them, and cleaned up after them. Since this was our first time employing her, Brianna came by beforehand to see our house and set up, and to learn the cats’ routines. During our trip, she sent us photos every few days. We came home to happy, healthy cats and a clean house. Thank you, Brianna!”

About: I've lived with animals my whole life and even taken care of newborn kittens more than once, along with caring for my 3 cute dogs. I work a 6am-2:30pm job monday-friday but I am free on Tuesday's &Thursday's during the week. I'm also free after 1pm on every other weekend. I care for people's pets how I would care for mine, with love and patience even getting them out to play or for a walk.
About: I started my dog watching journey when I was about 16. I used to watch a friend's dogs whenever she was away. Even when she was at work when her older dog was ill. I have a kinship with dogs like no other. It's only in the last 5 years that I've developed that with cats as well. I have a flexible work schedule that can accommodate any needs you have. I will update my calendar as to my availability at least every 2 weeks. I can accommodate 1 or 2 dogs only on the weekends. But, in your home I will respect everything. I won't mess anything up and if I do I'll return it better than I left it.
About: I had a huskey when I was younger that I took care of everyday. I now have a 1 year old Aussie doodle. I am trained in emergency situations. My current job allows me plenty of time off to play and love your animals. I’m available almost everyday in someway. I have plenty of time and availability to walk and feed and play with your pet. I have an underground fence for my own dog. He is super friendly and loves to play. I live close to the dog park for plenty of fun and exercise. I have multiple crates to use as needed.
“This was our second time using Daniel's services and to tell you the peace of mind we felt being away from our baby and knowing she was being well cared for is indescribable. Will definitely be using him again in the future!”

“Jennifer did a GREAT job!! I came home to a very happy dog. Not to mention a clean house and yard. She knew how anxious I was about leaving him and kept me reassured the whole time. Thank you for being all I could have hoped for!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets for 29 years+ From my own to families and friends. There is NOTHING more that I love, than dogs!! My two labs I’ve raised since 6 weeks old. I talk to my two babies all day long. If I’m not with my boys, I’m constantly thinking of them and wanting to know how they are! If I run an errand I always want to call my dogs and talk to them and let them know momma will be right back! I am that crazy dog lady that tells my boys everything I do! I feel they need to know and I want them to feel loved! If I’m not snuggling my boys or playing with them I’m telling them stories or just loving on them! My one lab loves to snuggle and is always always either on my lap or right at my side! I will do anything for my babies and any dog in my care! The more the merrier!! My two labs are laid back and great with other dogs. They really don’t mind that they are around! Though I know they would love a playmate at times! Anyone can rely on me to check in on a pet, feed, take out and any other duties especially loving on them! I’m not one to just drop in and do the duty- I want to get all the snuggles and kisses and let them have some play time! Some friends and neighbors have been having me stay and take care of their pets or drop in care for 10+ years. There’s nothing I love more than caring for pets! They give me the happiness that my loved ones do because they are “my loved ones too!” Some people say I’m a dog whisper. I live and breathe for my 2 dogs I currently have. Ages 10 and 12! I enjoy seeing them run, play, tail wag and smile! I’m home with them daily and talk to them as if they can understand ;) they are my Velcro babies and I wouldn’t have it any other way!! Let me know if u would like to meet up and we can get things rolling and I can be a help with whatever it is that u need to make sure ur pets are well cared for, happy, loved and having fun. It’s like a mini vacation for the pets! :) I look forward to making ur pets stay, walk, boarding, or any help I can be! I am super Excited to give all my love for ur fur baby and then some! I would love to and enjoy sending pictures and updates on my own and also anything that would help u know that ur pet is having a fun time and well cared for! Can’t wait to chat and meet up and be ur dog’s new friend!! I will love them like my own! :) I’m available most of the day to play with, feed, take out, or just some extra snuggle time! Evenings also! Don’t hesitate to reach out even if it’s for one little helping! I take care of our 3 dogs we have now during the day! But I’m looking for extra snuggles and putting that smile on your pets face as much as mine!! I would love to play with, take out, feed and love on your pet for 5 minutes or 1 hour! Very happy to do so! I’d love for your pet to feel loved and safe in my home with my babies , my two black labs who love everyone!! They bring me soo much happiness and joy!! I’m home always to be with them and adore and enjoy them!! 🩷
“Madeline is Great! My wife and I had a good feeling from her right when we met her. We have never left Ace with anyone overnite before, she is going on 18 years old. We felt very much at ease when we were gone. Madeline kept in contact with us via text when we were gone. We both would recommend her in a second!!”

“Melissa was absolutely wonderful to work with, and after meeting her for the first time, we knew the dogs were going to be spoiled and loved on as much as possible! She took lots of great pictures, and was very responsive to messages! We definitely will be using her for any future bookings, as she kept my nerves at bay and loved them as they were her own!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for 3-4 years. I have knowledge of cleaning, feeding, and walking dogs. Mostly my neighbors have asked me to pet sit, but I do have good experience. I’m currently working part-time at a nursing home, so I have plenty of time to pet sit. I’m going to college this fall and looking for some extra money. In your home I usually make sure that all the doors are locked so no one tries to break in, and I usually don’t let the animal I’m sitting out of my site.
“Being a first time user, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. They were excellent, kept me updated, sent pictures and videos throughout their stay. Will definitely be using them again!”

About: I’ve grown up with many different kinds of animals from dogs to bunnies & hamsters. I’ve also been around cats my entire life we just never had one in the house because my mom was allergic. I love animals as they have been my entire life growing up! I have been dog sitting for a year now, since January 2025 Pet care takes place in my everyday life because I have an 8-year-old dog and just got a puppy recently. I love to take them on walks and play with them outside. I also love teaching them new tricks and making sure they have fresh food and water. I can take your dogs on walks if they need them daily. I would also love to play with them to keep them entertained and get there energy out. If your dog sleeps in the bed no worries I love to have a snuggle bug next me.
“Jon was a super awesome dog sitter. I had him house sit and watch my dogs and took amazing care of my two dogs. He gave me lots of updates of how they were doing. Would highly recommend Jon for any of your animal care needs!”

About: I love to babysitting dogs because they always make me smile, have fun and love to play with them. I am a dog lover I always make sure dogs eat healthy, make sure they are happy and make sure they go out. I do have my own dog and I always make sure everything okay and what she need. I will always make sure I treat the dog like my own. I will always make sure they have the best care I can provide like I do with my own dog. I enjoy seeing that happy mood once the dog is walked, fed and played. I know when I am with animals, I feel relaxed instead of being stressed out because I feel that they believe in me.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marshfield
I hired Arianna to house sit and watch our cat while we were away for a few days. I was very pleased with the quality of care she provided and I would definitely use her services again. My cat can be rather high maintenance and Arianna handled all of her attitude and whims so well! 🙂 I also appreciated the updates and photos that she sent throughout the stay.

Jody went out of her way to take care of my dog, Ama. She really connected with her and you can see that she has a lot of experience working with dogs and is very passionate about them. Ama really enjoyed their walks together. I felt so much better knowing my dog was being taken care of

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Marshfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Marshfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Marshfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
