About: My name is Monica. I have taken care of pets for over 29 years. I currently have 3 cats both neutered. One is a senior 15 yrs old, then there is 7 yrs and 1 yr. They keep to themselves. Over the years many dogs and cats have came and went each showing their individuality. Each pet has a need which will be met according to your standards. If you book me for a Board or even a day stay I promise to have you and your furry friend 100% satisfied. I can also walk them, and do drop bys. Your pet will always have someone around in my home(if they like children). It can be hard to find someone as trustworthy as it is for me. They are just as much children and finding the right person takes time. I'm willing to show I am trustworthy And will treat them as my own. I have 3 floors,so if any pets I care for needs personal space I can accommodate. We also have a spare room where they can relax. Due to health I can only take dogs up to 18 lbs. Please note my drop-off and pickup fee is for within a 15 mile radius. If you need pickup outside that range higher fees apply. I'm a stay at home mom who works from home. I am flexible. Other then appointments and cooking. I'm usually available during the week and most weekends. My house has unfenced yard I have 2 floors,so if any pets I care for needs personal space I can accommodate. We also have a spare room where they can relax.
“Leila was amazing, this was the first time Ash had been away from us since we got him last year. He was nervous and made a mess at Leila's, she was so kind about it! We are working on his anxiety and she made it much easier for us to leave him for the day. We will absolutely be using her again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and animals in general since a young age, with my grandpa running a small farm. I’ve grown up around breeds like German Shepherds, and have always taken care of friends’ dogs while they were in vacation. I learned a lot from my fiancé, who ran a successful dog walking business in New York City Give yourself peace of mind, your dog is in safe, loving, caring hands. I’m currently working from home with a special schedule which I take advantage of as it frees up a lot of time during the day. Pet care fits into it quite easily, as I have a daily routine I follow which includes dog walks, time with the dogs outside and of course feedings (and tending medicine when needed). I have a home situated on a quiet, secluded private lot that backs up onto a river with several trails within a short walking distance. The yard is secluded, well shaded and has ample space. I take care to be active with the dogs, so I usually toss frisbees or play fetch several times a day to keep them content. I walk my dogs twice around the neighborhood. Besides home, I have a number of dog-friendly trails and parks both in East Stroudsburg and nearby where I bring the dogs for some quality time outside. This includes hiking on trails and in the mountains, bringing the dogs to rivers or lakes, I mix it up each week depending on the weather conditions. Any time I go on an outdoor adventure, I make sure I have the owner’s consent. Their dogs will always be hydrated and have a snack. I only ask that if your dog has specific dietary needs or is taking medication, that you provide me with the necessary information and schedule. I have two modes of transport for dogs, both of which offer plenty of space, safety and comfort for the dogs while en route.
About: Taking care of animals is my calling! They love me and I love them. I’ve always enjoyed working with animals since a young age. I have worked in the dog grooming business training to hopefully own my own dog hotel in the near future! I also have worked at boarding facilities for dogs/cats. I have found that I truly love anything that provides a better space for animal boarding/care. I’m excited to have expanded my experience in dog sitting/walking! I will be offering grooming to the pups I dog sit/walk so feel free to ask about getting a bath/groom! Currently I work full time at a veterinary facility/grooming facility. I can provide my services so long as the dates are available on my schedule! :) Each pet would be cared for differently according to their needs. Lots of love will be given to each dog I sit/walk, if allowed a few treats and toys for good behavior, and safety for the dogs and myself will be the main priority.
About: Since pre-teen, I grew up with dogs mostly as my parents had several dogs in the house. I love to care for dogs and make sure they’re happy and loved. Before Rover, I’ve walked and looked after neighbors’ dogs and owners have confided in me to care for them while they are away (i.e., family vacations, business trips, etc…). Currently my job is fully remote and I can mainly dog-sit during the day on a weekly basis. During the weekends, I can board, house sit and help in any way that I can with advance notice. My apartment is pet friendly and it is safe environment for dogs of any type. Apartment has easy dog access and Center City neighborhood is very safe. I live in between Rittenhouse Square Park and Washington Square park (~5mins walk).
About: As a nature-loving Poconos local, I bring a mix of deep care and joyful energy to every walk. I was the proud mama of a small dog who lived to be 15— she my best friend and like a child to me—so I understand the depth of love, trust, and nuance that comes with caring for a beloved fur baby. Whether your pup is sprightly or senior, playful or shy, I tune into their personality and pace. I offer more than just care—I offer connection, trust, and peace of mind. I work from home full-time, which gives me the flexibility to offer consistent, reliable walks throughout the day. I’m happy to communicate updates, photos, or notes so you always feel connected and confident. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I bring a calm, attentive presence to every walk, always keeping a close eye on surroundings, leash safety, and your fur baby’s well-being. With years of experience as a devoted dog mama, I understand how to build trust—through consistency, gentle communication, and honoring each dog’s unique needs.
“Maria and her husband watched our pup while we went to great wolf lodge for the day ave it worked out perfect! They were located close by and were easy to work with seeing we had to pick up earlier than expected. Would recommend to anyone who needs someone to watch their pup.”

“We are so appreciative to Michele. She was sable to accommodate us at the last minute. Her home is so inviting and dog friendly. Mason, our golden doodle enjoyed his time immensely and needed to be cajoled to hop back into our car to get home! I’ve never seen that before! I think he wanted to stay longer. Mason was safe, well cared for and happy. We will certainly reach out to Michele to look after Mason the next time we are in town again!”

“Melissa and Angel are great! They took great care of my dog Whiskey, providing walks, playtime, and plenty of pictures throughout. I will definitely use them again when I’m in the area. Highly recommend!!”

About: I’m very attentive and careful with dogs—I have a wonderfully silly pup of my own, so I understand how curious (and mischievous!) they can be. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. I’ll make sure they’re well-fed, well-cared for, and having plenty of fun while they’re with me. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, from a sassy medium-sized Terrier to an extremely large, goofy Malamute/Husky. I’ve also regularly cared for my cousin’s Yorkies and currently share my home with a very loved Coonhound/Terrier mix. Because of this, I’m comfortable adapting to different energy levels, temperaments, and routines. I truly believe dogs deserve patience, affection, and consistency. I go above and beyond to ensure every dog in my care feels loved, secure, and never overlooked—just like they would at home. I work from home during the following hours, which allows me to provide frequent attention, potty breaks, and supervision: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM I work from home Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing me to provide frequent potty breaks, meals, playtime, supervision, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day! I live in a spacious two-bedroom apartment designed to be a comfortable and safe environment for dogs. There are multiple cozy, high-quality dog beds throughout the space so pups always have options for relaxing and settling in. I also have a window perch overlooking Main Street, which dogs love for observing the world go by. My town is very walkable and dog-friendly, with several nearby businesses that welcome dogs—perfect for safe walks, enrichment, and (of course) quality people-watching. My own dog is extremely gentle and well-socialized—best described as a “cat in a dog’s body.” She is calm, respectful of other dogs’ space, and enjoys playful interactions when invited, making her a great companion for visiting pups.
“Scotty was great with Nola! It was a last-minute booking and despite the snow falling, he met us outside. Showcased the area Nola would be, and sent pictures of her comfortable! He was super friendly and accommodating for us, and Nola really loved her time with him!”

About: As a proud owner of a Great Dane, I’ve gained firsthand insight into the unique needs and challenges that come with caring for larger breeds, and I’m well-equipped to manage dogs of all sizes with their energy, health, and well-being!🐾 As a student-athlete, my schedule can be pretty packed during the season, but right now, I'm in the off-season, which gives me more flexibility to dedicate time to pet care. I make sure to prioritize pet sitting around my routine, whether it’s morning walks, playtime, or administering care. I structure my day to allow plenty of time for the pets I care for, ensuring they get attention, exercise, and love! When caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s, safety and trust are my top priorities. In my own home, I ensure that the environment is pet-friendly and secure, with designated spaces for pets to play, rest, and feel comfortable. At client’s home, I follow their guidelines carefully to make sure their pets feel at ease in their familiar surroundings. I always take extra precautions to pet-proof the area, ensure doors and gates are securely closed, and maintain a calm, consistent routine for the pets.
“Liddy always has a nice time visiting with Alexandra. She was wagging her tail and happy when we arrived and had just woken up from a nap in front of the fire when we arrived to pick her up. Liddy will be back again to stay with Alexandra the next time we are in the Poconos.”

About: I am a 33 year old disabled Army Veteran. I worked with Military Dogs during my time in the Army and I also had my own lovebugs at home. I am very experienced in obedience and basic command training, but I also give your Dog all the attention and love they need. I love taking them out for walks and playtime to get them powered out. In the Military I worked mostly with German Sheperds and Belgian Malanois, at home I gave my love to a French and an English Bulldog, so I am well aware of some of the health issues that these breeds have. Nonetheless I work well with all breeds and I am always excited to get to know New friends everywhere.
“What a gift! Very organized and very knowledgeable. She eased my fears with her constant videos. Excellent communicator and responds almost immediately. You can immediately tell that she has been working with pets and pet owners for a while. My dog was scard at first...by day 2...her tail was wagging high in the air and I knew she was ok. When we got home...she was the same bubbly dog I knew. Highly recommend”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
