I’m currently working from home with a special schedule which I take advantage of as it frees up a lot of time during the day. Pet care fits into it quite easily, as I have a daily routine I follow which includes dog walks, time with the dogs outside and of course feedings (and tending medicine when needed).

I have a home situated on a quiet, secluded private lot that backs up onto a river with several trails within a short walking distance. The yard is secluded, well shaded and has ample space. I take care to be active with the dogs, so I usually toss frisbees or play fetch several times a day to keep them content. I walk my dogs twice around the neighborhood. Besides home, I have a number of dog-friendly trails and parks both in East Stroudsburg and nearby where I bring the dogs for some quality time outside. This includes hiking on trails and in the mountains, bringing the dogs to rivers or lakes, I mix it up each week depending on the weather conditions. Any time I go on an outdoor adventure, I make sure I have the owner’s consent. Their dogs will always be hydrated and have a snack. I only ask that if your dog has specific dietary needs or is taking medication, that you provide me with the necessary information and schedule. I have two modes of transport for dogs, both of which offer plenty of space, safety and comfort for the dogs while en route.

Please let me know if your pup has any special needs ahead of time, and I will let you know if I can accommodate them right away. Most often it’s no problem. No preference as to breeds with the exception of pitbulls, Rottweilers and Shepherd breeds. Yes, I grew up around these and I love them dearly but I tend to take care of a few dogs at any given time and want to make sure it’s a stress-free environment for other breeds.
A typical day
I make sure to spend time outside especially when the weather is nice, so playing fetch, whether with a frisbee, tennis ball or small stick is a given. Dog walks are as frequent as needed, and a walk around the neighborhood can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on which route I take and number of dogs I have with me. There are plenty of walking trails nearby and I’ll bring the dogs to a dog-friendly park from time to time and will spend a few hours by the river or on trails.

I’ve grown up around breeds like German Shepherds, and have always taken care of friends’ dogs while they were in vacation.
