About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where your dog can feel at home, even when you're not there. I take the time to get to know your dog and tailor my services to their individual needs. That is why I only take one dog at a time, so there are no competing schedules, preferences, etc. I work from home full-time so I will be at your dog's side for the duration of their stay. Dogs in my care should be able to be left home alone for 1-2 hours -- can be crated or uncrated if not destructive. I have a Furbo pet camera so your dog is never out of my sight. I have an unfenced yard with private walking trail and a nice deck for dogs who like to sun bathe. Any dogs who need to be kept on a leash, that's no problem.

About: I am available to walk/do drop ins/some house sitting &/or overnight stays & cat sitting/drop ins anytime in the Shandaken, NY area. I have many years experience with animals, three grown kids & I am an avid animal rescue supporter including having my own rescue animal. I work part time on my own schedule so my availability is flexible & I can work with you & your needs! I am not able to provide in home care due to my Rescue dog being touchy with other animals, especially dogs but am available anytime for walks/drop ins, cat care, etc.... I will not be providing care in my home but I clean Rental homes for a living & will keep the same aspects in mind while being in your home/s, I will always be respectful of your space & your animals while providing the best care possible & will always leave your home the same as I found it. Canine communication is our speciality and we love teaching our clients how to speak dog! I love your pet like our own and our clients become part of our family for life! We do not whisper, we translate. Our world revolves around DOGS. I exclusively offer walking, boarding, training, daycare and drop in visits full time. If it isn’t dogs I don’t do it! PS I also will love your kitty or farm animals too! We have a fully fenced in yard, live on 15 acres and have both crates and kennel runs for pups who prefer not to be as social or for in heat or intact dogs. We do have a toddler who is dog savvy and our pack of pups who love to play and entertain. We have a three floor house so plenty of room for those persnickety pups who’d like their space. When we travel to your home we learn their space and their routine to make the best experience!
