“Josephine’s first stay with Pardeep was seamless. Pardeep was very accommodating with my schedule and provided a safe, calm, enjoyable day for Jo. He kept me up to date on her as the day went on and that is always reassuring. His dogs were friendly and respectful which I greatly appreciate due to Josephine being a senior. I would gladly recommend him and will seek his care for Josephine again soon.”

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a young child and have worked training puppies, poodle mixes, for the last two and a half years. I have had experience with oral medication and brushing poodle hair. I love taking dogs for walks and playing in the backyard. On hot days there is a doggy splash pad available for those who like water play as well as frozen pumpkin treats. I currently work mostly from home and will only be out for a few hours a couple of days so there will be plenty of time for walks and games. What better way to end the day than to relax on the couch! I have one goldendoodle to keep your fur baby company and though he is big, he is super gentle with the little dogs. I have a 4.5 foot tall chain link fence around our back yard. I have crates with dog beds for over night and during the day your dog will have access to our living spaces. Since I'm home most of the time, dogs can be outside/inside according to their preference. Please inform me of any quirks or dietary needs your dog may have. To protect your dog from overheating or hypothermia, walks will be limited when it's over 85°F or below 30°F.
About: I have been around dogs since my childhood. I had a German Shephard and a Pomeranian growing up who I used to walk, feed and play with. I am currently working from home and I have lot of time to take care of dogs on weekends and during weekdays. I would have time before 13 pm and after 4 pm on weekdays and on all time on weekends I have a single family home and have lots of space around to walk the dog and play with it. Inside the home there is a living and family room for dog to roam around.
“Wonderful experience. He is super attentive and really wants to know your pet's needs. His place is beautiful and with so much space any pet would be happy and comfortable. Would def recommend.”

“Amy was a wonderful dog sitter! My dogs felt right at home and loved playing in her big backyard. It gave me peace of mind knowing they were happy and well cared for. I’d definitely trust her with my pups again!”
About: Experience helping raise puppy/younger dogs and training, also have experience with adult/senior foster dogs. Includes walking, bathing, trips to the dog park, feeding, training, treat/crate training I also looooove brushing dogs, the fluffier the better! I like to stay home on weekends with my senior dog Sapphire. Shes a rescue and very calm (she doesn’t bark) and absolutely loves other dogs! We love to take walks and play on the patio outside. I am pretty much free from Wednesday evenings-Saturday nights! Although I live in an apartment, I keep my living room and general space wide and accessible which is easier and less stressful for the dogs. I have a back patio we can play on (not black so the heat won’t hurt their paws), and have a park and yard across the street! I will give your pup lots of love and cuddles and they will definitely be a little spoiled! I also will feed them in a separate area from my dog but bring them back together to play :)
About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was 9 years old, whether they were my own or family/friends. Love playing with and cuddling them! I’m currently working on a few business projects at home so I’m very flexible and will have plenty of time to play with your pet! I have a cozy home and a few kitties who are comfortable with dogs but I can easily keep them in another room if needed!
“Noria took the time to meet up with me the day prior to make sure my dog could meet her. She took great care of her, sent me pictures throughout the day, it was easy to tell my dog didn’t want to leave upon being picked up! Highly recommend her and would gladly book again.”
“Tom is very easy to talk to and very accommodating. Communication was quick. Tom also sent a lot of pictures in which my dog Toby seemed very happy and relaxed. Definitely will be back. Highly recommend.”

About: Fostering through Cold Nose Warm Heart NJ allowed me to fulfill my passion for working with dogs, but unfortunately I am no longer able to keep pets at the house. This has not stopped my love of dogs! I’d like to be a dog walker to have the opportunity to continue to spend time with dogs whenever possible! Fostering has given me experience with all kinds of pups - puppies (8 weeks+), small dogs, big dogs, shy dogs, playful dogs, … I work remotely and have a flex schedule. Able to accommodate different schedules, and willing to work with you based on what is most optimal for you and your pup! I have two dogs of my own (1 and 2) who love playing and would welcome guests. I very much understand the importance of keeping pups on a schedule, so will dutifully follow such plans.
“Esther is great! My first time booking with her was such a breeze. She has great communication and is very detail oriented. My 5 month old puppy Luna loves her and she was giving me updates throughout the day. I have now become a regular with Esther since then and will continue to book her again. Highly recommend her services, she’s very attentive and sooooo kind !”

“This was a last minute booking for Layla and I was excited to see Layla refusing to go home at the end. Tanvi is an excellent host and I'll definitely be a repeat customer pretty soon!”

“James is my daycare angel and I am so relieved to find just the right person for my senior dog. I travel to NJ for work and bring Bandit with me when I can. He loves traveling but when I am in all day meetings/dinners it is not usually possible. James was so flexible I did not have to stress about drop off/pick up times, he was super responsive, and Bandit was totally comfortable with him. Now I can bring him every trip and use James for those occasions I need help.”

“I am very happy with the care my dog received while staying at Lori's home. The backyard is spacious and perfect for playtime—my pup had the best time running around and exploring. Lori was warm, attentive, and clearly loves dogs. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and former fur mom to my beloved Morkie, who was part of my family for 14.5 wonderful years until she passed away in 2023. I currently work from home most days, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. I’m also an experienced dog aunt and have been puppy-sitting my Golden Retriever “fur niece” for the past year, giving me recent experience with larger, energetic dogs as well. I’m a mom of two boys, ages 3 and 7, who are in school and daycare during the day. They have grown up around dogs and are gentle, loving, and respectful of animals. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pet because I’ve been in your shoes. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where your furry family member feels at home while you’re away. I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own—with lots of love, attention, and belly rubs! What you can expect from me: 🐾 Plenty of supervision due to my work-from-home schedule 🐾 Regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and cuddles 🐾 Experience caring for both small and large dogs 🐾 Updates and photos so you can feel connected while you’re away 🐾 A calm, loving, family-oriented environment I can’t wait to meet your furry family member and give them the care and affection they deserve! ❤️🐾 I work from home, which gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day to provide attentive care, frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, and plenty of companionship. Pet care easily fits into my daily routine, and I enjoy having furry company while I work. Your pet will receive lots of supervision, love, and attention rather than being left alone for long periods. Safety is my top priority. My home was always dog-proofed when I had my Morkie, and I continue to puppy-proof it whenever my Golden Retriever fur niece stays with us. I make sure there isn’t anything pets can get into that could be unsafe, and I have a dog gate available to create secure spaces when needed. I provide a clean, supervised, and loving environment where pets are treated like family and can feel safe and comfortable while in my care. 🐾❤️

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Manville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
