“Samantha did an excellent job dropping in every day while we were away to care for our cat, Hazel (even during freezing temperatures and ice still out on the roads). She checked in with us every day which eased our minds and let us know how Hazel was doing - even sent us cute pictures. We will definitely reach out to her in the future when we have to be away!”

About: I used to foster dogs. My yard is pretty big and I have a doggie door. My dogs do not mind visitors. I am off work during the summer and all major holidays. I am a teacher so I am off for the summers. When school is in session, I get off early and I am usually home before 4pm. I have a fenced in yard that can be accessed by a doggie door. I have 3 small dogs. I walk them and play with them on a regular basis. I also have 2 cats.

I am a college student at siue but I still have a super flexible schedule and i have a lot of free time to hang out with pets! i’ve grown up with pets all my life and even worked at a doggy daycare in my hometown so i’d love to be there for pets who don’t like daycares and prefer to stay in their own space. “Allison gets 10 stars out of 5!! This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't be happier with Allison and the job she did with our 7 year old dog. She stopped by on two separate occasions prior to our trip to get acquainted with our dog. She was super diligent and on time for every visit. She communicated very well and provided ample updates and pictures. We’re lucky to have found her and will use her again.”

“Melanie did a good job taking care of our shy kitty. She sent pictures even if we didn't asked for them and that was nice. Good communication and fast response. We do recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is the level of care, attentiveness, and protection I provide to every dog as if they were my own. I have experience working with young puppies who need patience, structure, and consistency with basic training and routines, as well as senior dogs who require gentle handling, medication management, and close monitoring. Safety is always my top priority I am highly observant on walks, mindful of surroundings, and proactive in preventing any potential risks. I understand canine body language, which helps me anticipate needs and avoid stressful situations. Whether it’s reinforcing positive behaviors, sticking to a detailed feeding schedule, or providing calm companionship for anxious pets, I create a secure and loving environment where dogs feel comfortable and protected. Owners can trust that their pets are not only cared for, but truly looked after with responsibility, awareness, and genuine affection. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, especially as an incoming medical student with a flexible study schedule. While my classes are structured, I have built-in breaks throughout the day that allow me to step away, reset, and give pets the attention they need. Studying also provides flexibility, since I can organize my time around walks, feeding schedules, play sessions, and check-ins. I value balance and know how important movement and fresh air are, so taking a dog out for a walk or spending time engaging with them fits seamlessly into my day. When I’m studying, pets stay in a safe, calm environment where they can relax comfortably nearby. Being in a rigorous academic program has strengthened my time management skills, responsibility, and attentiveness — qualities that directly translate into providing reliable, consistent, and safe care for every dog I look after. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In my home, pets stay in a clean, calm, and secure environment with constant supervision, scheduled walks, and plenty of attention. I maintain consistent routines for feeding, exercise, and rest to help them feel comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all provided instructions, respect the space, and keep pets on their normal schedule to ensure stability. I’m attentive to behavior changes, mindful of surroundings on walks, and proactive about preventing any safety risks, so owners can feel confident their pets are protected and well cared for.

About: I love all of God’s creatures and I know how precious our pets are to us. They bring so much joy I would love to take care of your pet. I work at a hospital and just work weekends so I can take care of pets Monday through Thursday and I’m available anytime those days. I have no problem caring for a pet at my home or the owners home. I would follow the instructions of the owner with care.

About: Hi! I’m Shannon, a lifelong animal lover providing safe, attentive, and fun care for your furry family member. Whether it’s neighborhood walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I treat every pet as my own. I'm reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to give your pup the ultimate stay-at-home experience! I’m working part time so this is a way to stay in an industry I love. It’s more than just a side gig to me. I come to you so the pets are comfortable in their own spaces. It’s less stress for everyone involved in the long run. I can’t wait to see your fur babies.
About: Hi! My name is Gaby and I’m the most genuine animal lover ever. All my life, I have always had pups in my home or worked professionally with them which is why I joined Rover so I could work and do what I love at the same time. I do Rover full time and I don’t have any fur babies of my own at the moment, so I’m able to dedicate all my time and attention to yours 🐾☺️ I've worked at Kennelwood Animal Resort and Y Bark Alone which are daycare/boarding businesses and I absolutely loved it. I was taught how to kennel them properly, administer meds, and how to deal with all types of animal behavior big and small. With this being said, you can always trust your fur babies in my presence. He or she will always be the number one priority and be treated as if they were my own. Lastly, my goal is to build a relationship and longevity with the pup/owner so I can be the first person you think of when looking for a sitter knowing that they’re in great hands. I’m extremely excited to have the pleasure of being apart of Rover and hope to take care of your precious babies soon! Rover is my full time job at the moment so my schedule is very open to give your pet the proper time and attention they deserve. How I care for your fur baby is completely contingent on the owner. I follow all guidelines they have set in place whatever those may be. But you can trust they are always in the best of hands.
