“What a wonderful experience all around! Wonderful people, wonderful home, wonderful other dogs to with whom to play! Roxy most certainly enjoyed her time with you! I’ve never seen her play with other days as much as she did with your goldens!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 21 years, and I’ve yet to meet one I didn’t want to be friends with. From energetic puppies who think socks are toys to sweet senior dogs who prefer naps over zoomies, I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I provide reliable, loving care that includes walks, feeding, playtime, cleanup, cuddles (if approved by your pup, of course!), and basic medications when needed. I know leaving your furry family member behind can be stressful, so I’ll treat them like one of my own and keep you updated so you can relax knowing they’re in great hands. I’m home most of the day, so your pet will get plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and cuddles—not just a quick check-in! I do run the occasional errand, but your pet’s comfort, safety, and routine always come first. I’ll make sure they get lots of love, exercise, and updates for you, because I know you’re probably missing them as much as they’re missing you. 🐾 Your pup can expect a fenced yard, a toy box that’s always open for business, plenty of belly rubs, fresh food and water, and two energetic dogs who are usually happy to welcome a new playmate. Safety comes first, fun is a close second, and your furry family member will be treated like one of my own.
“Dylhan was absolutely WONDERFUL to work with. She cared for my babies like they were her own (and her little puppers are so cute and happy!). This was the first time one of my dogs was away from me and he had a great time until the very end while I got to meet the puppies and talk more with Dylhan. He wanted to keep playing! My anxious dog who has had experience away did great as well. Dyhlan made him comfortable and sent me updates with pictures and videos and cared for him when his anxiety made him nauseous. Absolutely can't recommend them enough and very thankful for their help with caring for my babies!”

“Well all I can say is Jill is a godsend! I was referred to her by some neighbors in my community. My dog is a rescue and doesn’t have very much confidence or socialization . She said that was fine and she would work with him. Jill is very calm and definitely knows what she is truth dogs. She has a great fenced in backyard where he can run a play. Jill has two dogs of her own that Odin got a long with pretty darn quick. I would recommend Jill 100%. I’m so happy I found her ❤️”

“Jessica was amazing with my five month old puppy Apollo! She played his favorite game with him. And took him out for his potty breaks. He was exhausted after. So I think that is a sign he had a great time! She was also super flexible with me and worked with me for pick up and drop off times that worked for me so I could do my interview and get back on the road to make it home on time!”

About: I’ve owned and cared for animals my entire life — from dogs and cats to smaller pets like birds. Animals have always been a huge part of my world, and I can’t imagine life without them. I enjoy training my own dog and use positive reinforcement to help build trust and good habits. I’m comfortable working with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities — from energetic puppies to calm seniors — and I always tailor care to meet their individual needs. I have a large, fully fenced backyard that’s perfect for safe outdoor play, exercise, and potty breaks. I’m also experienced with administering medication (oral, topical, or drops) and following special routines, feeding schedules, or dietary needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal like family and make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and care — just like they would at home. I’m reliable, communicative, and always happy to send photo or video updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Hi! I’m Michelle — a lifelong animal lover who works from home, so I’m with my dog (and yours!) all day. I love spending time outdoors hiking, paddleboarding, and going on walks. I also attend dog training classes a few times a week, which helps me stay in tune with canine behavior and care. Your pets will get plenty of attention, love, and company while you’re away! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my highest priorities. I work from home full-time, so pets in my care are never left alone for long periods. My dog stays in my office with me during the day, and your dog is welcome to join us — or enjoy their own quiet space if they prefer. I take pride in being reliable, attentive, and respectful of every pet owner’s home and routine. I follow all care instructions closely to ensure consistency, safety, and peace of mind. My reputation and your trust mean a great deal to me, and I’m committed to providing the same level of care I would want for my own dog.
About: I have been in the pet care business for 10 years. When I first started working with dogs, I assisted dog walkers that had their own established dog walking businesses. The walkers I worked for provided off leash pack walk adventures! I assisted a number of walkers with their packs of dogs. I learned a lot by assisting different walkers as I got exposed to different methods and strategies of managing the dogs as well as gained experience handling different breeds! It was the most fun I ever had at a job! I decided to get certified in hopes that I could possibly start my own business one day! Boy was I glad I did! The glorious day fell upon me when a walker that I was working for told me that a friend of theirs was selling their business! I was enthralled and decided to take a leap of faith! I bought it from her! I got to finally start my own business! What an amazing experience! I grew steadily and as I grew, I started to add other services to my business. I started to provide in home pet care at my clients' homes. This was such fun because I always felt like I was going on staycation! When I finally got a living situation where I could have pets at my place, I started offering boarding services! This was the ideal situation for all! I got to have groups of dogs over at my place vs. having to be limited to just a dog or two depending on the house I was sitting at! It was so much more fun when the pups had other friends to play with when their owners had to leave them! I was in business for myself for 8 years! This all came to end when I decided to move to Idaho! But I miss being with all the doggos so much so I decided why not try to offer my services here so I can meet some great pups of the gem state! I have experience working with all sizes, a wide variety of breeds, dog that suffer from separation anxiety, senior dogs and puppies! I have worked with balance trainers and positive reinforcement trainers. I have 2 mentors who were in the business for 20+ years that have provided me with a plethora of training and education regarding dog psychology and behavior modification so you can rest assured that I will provide high quality care in a very comfortable home setting where your pup will be cared for as if they were my very own Stormy girl! Yes! I have my very own dog and her name is Stormy! She is a king shepherd who has been grown up walking in off leash pack walks since she was old enough to do so! She does great with all dogs but she especially loves the puppies! Let us know if you are interested in possibly coming over to our place for some fun! We can set up some meet times beforehand to make sure a sleep over would be a good fit! Stormy and I are looking forward to meeting all the gem pups of the beautiful gem state! I work from home, so I am able to stay with your pups pretty much the whole time while they are here! I am able to take dogs 7 days a week! I have a fenced backyard and of course I have my pup who can provide play and entertainment in addition to the love and care I will be providing!
“Michelle was great! She updated me throughout the day of how Doc was doing and had an amazing home. She had other sweet dogs he could play with and a large backyard. We will definitely be using her again in the future!”

“Even-keeled and easygoing, Emily was a good choice! She cared for my golden retriever for the day and my mind was at ease, knowing she’d be watched well, played with and fed by someone who knew what they were doing. Even when I had to make MULTIPLE last minute time changes in the schedule, Emily took it like a champ and without complaint! My golden seemed her normal dorky self after her stay!”

About: I love dogs of all sizes and breeds. I am a true dog person through and through. I have four of my own that I care for as they are like my children. I currently work full time but would like to hangout with some fluffy friends on the side whenever I can. I am able to come take dogs for a walk after work or have them stay with me during my work day since I work from home as long as they are friendly with other dogs. My dogs are all up to date of vaccines as well. The weekends I usually am pretty open for drop by visits and dog walks. I have a fenced in yard so if I did have a dog stay with me during the day I work from home and have a fenced back yard with a dog door. If visiting a dogs home I would respect and follow their wishes to help take care and maintain their dogs needs.
About: We have a mini golden doodle who is almost 5 years old, and two teenagers who love dogs and can give our dogs boarding here lots of love. We have a backyard they can play in. I work primarily from home. It's important that the dog is crate trained for the few hours I work on Mondays and Wednesdays (I'm gone for about 4 hours) and we crate our dogs at night. Otherwise they're free to roam and I can take them outside/on walks daily. We love to snuggle and care for pets as a family. We can keep an eye on their behaviors to see if there are any concerns and update you with pictures and texts.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in ID ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
