About: I have been lucky enough to care for, look after, love, walk, feed, play with, and overall enjoy animals for my whole life. I have always lived with dogs and I have been sitting for cats since I was a teenager. I’d be happy to lend a hand to make sure your furry family member is more comfortable and content while you’re away. I am very flexible with both my work and personal schedules, so I can typically fit requests into my day, no problem. Each day is different, of course, but I am happy to work with you to make care for your pet happen when you need it to. I pride myself on the high level of care and attention I give to my pets, and that level will be just as high for yours. All I need is clear instruction and info on your pet, and whatever you need to have happen will happen. I’m a private person, and I respect yours as well, so when I am in someone else’s home I apply a leave-no-trace policy.

About: For as long as I could remember I’ve been my family’s go-to pet sitter. Anytime my Grandmother had a doctors appointment or my Aunt and Uncle left town, I would be their first choice. I love animals and caring for them, making them comfortable when their families are gone is not an easy task but easing their anxiety and keeping them comfortable is a very rewarding job. I’ve worked with rover in the past when I was in high school and it was a great experience. I am currently working part time but my schedule is relatively flexible. As far as boarding goes there is and will always be someone at the house caring for the dogs 24/7. I have a large plot of land adjacent to my house for the puppies to play in. I currently have three very friendly small dogs who love to play and make friends.

About: I’ve grown up around animals and had several throughout the last 33 years. I really only have experience with dogs and cats, I currently have 5 cats and 2 dog. As a pet caretaker with a flexible schedule, I can easily adapt my day around each pet’s needs. I’m able to plan feeding times, walks, play sessions, and check-ins at times that work best for both the pet and their owner. My flexibility allows me to provide consistent, reliable care—even if the owner’s routine changes—while making sure the pet maintains a comfortable, steady daily rhythm. This approach helps me give attentive, personalized care throughout the day. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly two year old female German Shepherd loves to play. And also a male rat terrier mix. I can also crate if needed. Also lots of treats and toys!

Neighbors , family , and friends all come to me when they need a reliable and dependable person to watch their pets . My schedule is pretty much open availability at the moment , but I do ask when booking that you are on time and if you are running behind there needs to be communication . If you are more than 45 minutes late Dropping your pet off we will need to reschedule for another time . I don’t have a fence at my home but I personally walk my dogs on a leash, or harness . About: I have raised many different types of dogs for 15+ years. For the last 5 years, I have housed many different animals in need. I have trained puppies, as well as nervous, and abused dogs. I make sure my home is a very welcome environment for animals of all kinds. Like my husband likes to say, I want a petting zoo in life. I currently work part-time in a pawn shop and full time mom to an adorable little toddler. We love being able to be around and care for animals as much as we can. I go on holidays maybe once or twice a year so I’m always around willing to help train or even just be a companion to your furry friend while you’re away I have an open yard with plenty of space to run around. I also have crates within the house just in case they need to be crated too. I have 3 adult dogs that roam free and are very friendly, as well as 3 puppies, and a 2 cats inside my house as well too. But it’s very rare my cats will come out during the day if I’m housing a dog inside.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 63 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Macon. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Macon. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Macon.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
