About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue around a year. I was responsible for fixing them food, water, cleaning their crate and playing with them. I also had a family dog growing up and currently have three cats. I work from home full-time and get multiple breaks throughout the day, so I am always available at home. I am a homebody and have the time to care for animals. I have a fenced in back yard with a grassy area. Pets sitting on the furniture and being around is no issue. I do have three cats, but I am able to keep them separate at all times.
“I loved having Kaila watch my dogs! She’s very sweet, sent photo updates, was respectful of the space, locked up the house properly and loved on my boys while I was away. 10/10 would recommend. :)”

About: Currently our fur babies are a cat Pebbles that is 9 and Spike our dog that is 3. We have in the past had a beagle as well as multiple cats. Growing up I had cats while my husband has always had dogs And we love both! I work nights 3 days a week at the hospital while my husband is a teacher during the day so someone is always home during the day and night. We have a fenced in backyard for your dog to play in. We also live in a quiet neighborhood if your dog prefers leashed walks.
About: As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pets and your home. I have experience pet sitting and am comfortable following each pet’s usual routine, whether that includes walks, meals, playtime, litter box care, or simply keeping them company. I’m dependable, attentive, and happy to send plenty of photos and updates while you’re away. My goal is to help your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved - and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I currently have a flexible schedule while I do freelance remote work, which allows me to make pet care a consistent part of my daily routine. I’m available throughout the week for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays, and I can adjust my schedule around your pet’s usual feeding, exercise, and bedtime routines. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routines. I follow all care instructions closely and am especially careful with doors, gates, leashes, feeding, and any household rules. I’m respectful of each client’s home, clean up after the pets and myself, and provide regular photos and updates. I take the time to understand each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their family is away.

About: I've grown up with two English Labs my entire life, and after I left the house, I stayed around animals, working on two farms with farm dogs that followed me around for all my tasks. I love younger dogs that like to play, but with a 14 year old lab at home, I also know how to take care of an old fella. Available most weeknights and weekends, I'm a law student at Mercer so I am busiest on Mondays and Wednesdays but have a relatively flexible schedule. I look forward to meeting you and the dogs! I have an office job that I'm usually at from 8:30am-4:30pm, but my schedule can be more flexible. I am available to come by during my lunch break to let dogs out or take care of whatever you need me to. My fiance is unfortunately allergic to dogs, but I take care of my Mom's two labs as often as she'll let me! I love to play with a dog, my childhood dog was my best friend to play soccer and anything else with. In your home, I'm always extremely respectful of privacy and understand your wants and needs. I also have farm experience if any yardwork is required for longer stays.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Macon. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
