About: Hello! My name is Heather. I'm a 28 year old Boone local. I have 10 years of paid experience as a pet sitter. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, rabbits, hedgehogs, turtles, horses, cattle, chickens, and ducks through ownership over the years. I have professional experience working at a dog kennel for 5 years. I have worked with special needs animals including diabetic, handicapped and elderly as well as newborn animals. I have a home with 40 acres of land so I can offer boarding services for most animals and provide plenty of interesting hiking if your pet stays with me. I'm home three times during the day (morning, lunch and evening). That gives me plenty of time to provide potty breaks often during the week. I offer in home pet care and boarding. For clients wanting in home care, I can stop by up to three times a day and I can occasionally offer overnight care. For those wanting to board, I provide a safe environment with lots of room. I have house with a large amount of land and safe places to walk and play. I have room and experience with safely isolating your pet if there are issues with aggression or if you aren't comfortable with your pet being around other pets. Potty breaks are provided every 3-4 hours for dogs and longer walks or play at least once a day

About: I’ve been caring for pets for over 10 years. I grew up with a family dog from the time I was nine, and now that I’m in college, I have a fur baby of my own who I’m currently training. She loves people and enjoys playing with other dogs, so your pup will have a friendly buddy around! In addition to personal experience, I’ve also worked at the Boys & Girls Club of America, where I would bring in dogs for the kids to read to. Watching the joy it brought both the children and the dogs was truly unforgettable. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and I can’t wait to give your pet the same love and attention. I attend classes through the week, They are only a hour and half long and I have breaks in between. If I have to run an errand my furry friends are more than welcome to go ride along Making sure your pet feels loved and safe — whether in my home or yours — is always my top priority. I’m happy to let pets roam freely around the house and follow their normal routine, since I know from experience with my own fur baby how important consistency is. I want your pet to feel completely comfortable, so if they have a favorite spot to nap or prefer sleeping wherever they choose, that’s perfectly fine with me.

About: I have owned dogs from a very young age on and I worked at a dog kennel for 5 years! I have experience in potty training, training puppies, oral medication, and more! I am able to give your pet the attention required so we can have the best stay together! Your pet does not need to be crate trained, but I do ask that they are okay in a home for max of 2-3 hours if I need to leave in the evening for errands. If you have a puppy or special requirements, just let me know ahead of time!🩷 I live in a townhome directly next to our dog park! I am able to take your pet on daily walks as well as play with them to get out any energy. I can exercise your dog as much or as little as requested! I do have one dog in the home, Haven, who does amazing with all dogs. If you have a dog with aggressive tendencies, I do ask we discuss it before booking! I want to ensure my dog’s safety as well as yours!

“Melissa was great. We were traveling with our dog and wanted to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail. Melissa's house was about 20 min from the bike rental shop in Damascus, and it worked out perfectly to drop off our dog for a few hours while we biked. She has a big fenced in the back yard.”

About: I love animals! I was raised around animals all of my life. My parents had a hobby farm, complete with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, emu's, sheep, ducks, pigs, etc. We bred and raised dogs of all kinds: huskies, dalmatians, chihuahuas, beagles, labs, golden retrievers, pugs, and so on. Since my childhood, I've helped feed, care for, and even administer medicine to our animals. I moved to Lexington KY in the Fall of 2010 and decided to take care of others' furry friends while they're away. I started and ran my own dog walking and pet sitting business for 7 years. I ended up closing down to do some traveling. But I sure miss getting out and spending time with my furry friends. Whether you're at work, on vacation, or just out for the day, it will be my Joy to take care of your pets. From midday walks and home visits, to puppy breaks and house sittings, I'll treat your pet as my own, and make sure they get plenty of lovin'. “Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.” That’s what I try to live by. And I’ll bring that ethos with me everyday to Caring for your seeet fur baby or babies.

About: Hi! My name is Chesnut. I’m kind and compassionate and will love caring for your furry buddy. I have grown up taking care of my family’s dogs and have two of my own for the last five years. P.s. If you have a really active dog, I love taking dogs on runs or hikes or long walks. I work from home so available all week long. On weekends my husband and I tend to go hiking, so if the dogs enjoy hikes we will take them, but if not then we can adjust our schedules. We have an unfenced yard for potty breaks (leashed), but will take the dogs to the local dog park for exercise or on leashed walks/hikes.

About: I currently do not have any pets, but have had multiple throughout the years. I am excited to gain more experience and to take care of pups or cats. I currently work as a remote event planning intern, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with pups! I have free time throughout the day and evenings, while being home for work! I can do whatever you feel comfortable with when caring for your pet. I have a fenced yard and can take them on walks or can crate, if needed.

Heather M.
“Heather has been our family’s reliable pet caregiver for over 15 years. We have multiple large dogs, rabbits, hedgehogs, and other lovable critters. Due to the large dogs and various demands of our other pets it was difficult to find a pet sitter who felt capable and comfortable with all the animals and their care routine. Heather is always great with them and very understanding of their needs and schedule. We require at least 3 visits a day for our dogs who take medication. Heather is aware and accommodating of this without any issue. I know I may always rely on Heather whether it is for a few visits or several days of care. The dogs love her, and I know she is a loving dog mom herself, it shows in the compassionate way she treats us and our pets.”

My husband and I appreciated the detailed updates and adorable pictures that she provided after each visit -- I could tell that Joy and our husky, Kaya, were having such a great time together! I cannot imagine a more responsible and compassionate person to whom I could entrust the care of my pets and my home.”

Chesnut S.
“Chesnut and I have been friends (and roomies at points) for the past 7 years. One of the things we bonded over was our love for fur friends. She has cared for numerous pets of family and friends, including both dogs and cats, since I have known. She is very attentive when pet sitting. Also, she is very active and loves the outdoors - so she would be especially great with dogs needing lots of exercise!”
