Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mark helped us on short notice and was able to provide us peace and reassurance that our babies were cared for! Mark kept our male and female German Shepherds, and they had an absolute blast. Mark sent us multiple photos and videos and kept us very up-to-date on what they were doing throughout their visit. He asked questions about their personalities and needs that showcased his care and attention to detail. With his knowledge and experience with German Shepherds, it really shined in the care he provided them! About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. We love walking dogs, playing fetch, petting them, and providing lots of love. We enjoy playing with cat toys, and giving them plenty of attention as well.

I currently also babysit when I am needed but no more than a few hours at a time and always within driving distance so I will be able to get to your dog in no time! Potty breaks are provided every 3-4 hours for dogs and longer walks or play outdoors at least once a day weather permitting. I recently retired and miss having a pup in my life. I’m available and flexible for daily walks as well as able to provide boarding in my home. I am very attentive and loving toward all fur babies. I’m a firm believer that exercise and interactive play is essential in developing a bond with each pup.
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 17, family, friends, neighbors, have relied on me to walk, watch, and play with their animals. People know I will take care of and love their babies like they are my own. I am a college student at UNCW with a very flexible schedule. I only have 1-2 classes a day, with an hour(s) break in between classes. I do also work part-time, but only 1-3 days a week for a short amount of time. For drop-in visits, I stop by to check on pets, provide food, water, playtime, and potty breaks while ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for in their familiar environment. I prioritize keeping pets happy, safe, and stress-free while their owners are away.

In 2007 I earned a B.A. in Psychology and worked with adolescence behavior and sold Royal Pet Care to a trusted partner, While You’re Away Pet Care, LLC. About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. About: I love taking care or dogs and cats of every kind. Ever since I was 12 I’ve taken care/loved on my neighbors pets while they were out of town or even my own. I really enjoy getting to meet new animals and care for them as my own. I’m currently working for myself remotely. I set my own schedule, this allows me to be available for most times throughout the week to love on your pet. I love to take my dogs for walks/runs. So, if that’s what your dogs prefer (or cats, can’t exclude them!) I’m happy to take them on daily walks/runs. As far as nighttime routine, I prefer doing what’s best for your pet. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mark helped us on short notice and was able to provide us peace and reassurance that our babies were cared for! Mark kept our male and female German Shepherds, and they had an absolute blast. Mark sent us multiple photos and videos and kept us very up-to-date on what they were doing throughout their visit. I am very picky about who I leave my dog with, and do not trust her with sitters often - and Melissa was the perfect sitter to calm my fears! She was so accommodating in every way - pick up and drop off times, date changes, etc. She sent me many pictures and updates on Sasha everyday, and it was a great relief being able to keep up with how Sasha was doing through Melissa's updates. I would recommend Melissa for anyone - her children were VERY sweet, polite, and so welcoming to Sasha during her whole stay. Overall it was a great experience! About: Your dog won't just be sitting around in my home, I'll likely be giving it attention or playing with it majority of my time (unless that's not what the dog wants). I love every size of dog, especially very large dogs that love to cuddle. I've owned a lab for 9 years and a blue heeler for 11. My lab has been everything from difficult to the most pleasant dog you'll meet so I have experience with it all. I often go on runs so if you have an athletic dog or one that needs lots of exercise I've got you. I have no time constraints after 2pm half of the week, and 4pm the other half of the week. If I am watching your dog at my place I am definitely not opposed to early morning walks, I enjoy getting up early to walk them.

He’s an energetic, enthusiastic boy and she kept him exercised and happy and calmly redirected him when he tried to follow his nose somewhere he shouldn’t. Normally when I pick him up from boarding, he’s so excited and relieved to see me and can’t wait to leave, but when we picked him up from Kitty’s, he came and greeted us happily and then led us back in like he wanted to show us all the fun things he did while we were gone (just like a kid at camp!) We will definitely be in touch with Kitty next time Einstein needs a place to stay!”
