“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my baby. Leaving her with someone new is always a bit nerve-wracking, especially since she’s a senior dog. But the updates and photos you sent made it clear that she was comfortable and happy, which means the world to me. I really appreciate how well you took care of her.”
“Jill & her family are one of a kind! What a comfort to finally find someone who really cares and gives the quality time to our pets that they require while we’re away! I highly recommend Jill. Princeton has a new place to visit when we are going out of town. Very thankful!”
“Omarilys was so great! She watched our pitbull for a few days. She provided updates and was so nice ! Thank you so much!! Gracias 🙏 I can vacation with peace of mind ☺️💕”
“We highly recommend Jay. We booked him for a very last minute (Day before) 10 day stay for our dog Bo. With us never using Rover before we were a little skeptical at who to choose. Jay’s profile stood out the most to us and did not disappoint! Upon arrival we were met with a very friendly easy going attitude as well as assuring us our dog would be taken well care of which made dropping our baby off feel a little more at ease. Walking into the home you will definitely find the place is set up for dogs. He also has a gorgeous 1 1/2acre yard and spends a lot of quality time with them out there. Jay is also a dog trainer as well so if there are commands or things you are trying to work on with your fur baby he offers help in those areas as well. Now Jay does have a few show dogs (sheep dogs) that are very well mannered and our dog got a long with great! However, he does have lots of gated off areas in the house if your dog needs more one on one time. Throughout the whole stay he was very good at communicating and sent pictures and video updates of our dog. When we arrived for pickup it was a breeze! We were shocked to see he even groomed our dog as well as washed our dogs blanket to make sure it was clean when we arrived. Very satisfied with our dogs stay! We will be using Jay again in the future!”
“Angie is fantastic and she communicates well through texting and the rover app. She kept me informed of how my dog is doing often and takes photos. He ate all of his dog food which is rare as he used to be sad at other places. Toby was happy staying with them and felt loved. Her husband is great too. We will be using them again.”
“Anna was great! I’ll definitely be trusting her with my dog again. She sent a ton of photos each day which was very helpful and put our mind at ease since our dog can get a little stressed when not at home.”
“Margarita was great! We will definitely be using her again! She was always super quick to respond whenever we checked in and sent multiple updates with pictures so we were always at ease. We had a personal emergency come up before leaving town and she was so flexible and easy to work with through the whole situation. We would 100% recommend her for all of your dog watching needs!”
“Due to work and personal travel, my Pom spent lots of time with Ms. Mimi over these last 3 months. She’s absolutely the best and I trust her 100%! I don’t know what I’ll do if she ever moves away. Thank you for your love and care for my furry child.”
“Ashley was great with Macy! She had no problem with giving Macy time to warm up to her dog, sent updates and pictures, and made me feel 100% comfortable leaving my girl with her. I would/will use her again in the future if the opportunity arises.”
“Alexus was great! She communicated with us. She sent us pictures and every time I checked in she responded, and she took very good care of our children!! She’s awesome I highly recommend her!”
“Hailey provided frequent updates and shared plenty of pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog, Buddy, looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. She was attentive, responsible, and highly communicative throughout. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. Buddy will definitely be staying with her from now on. Thank you, Hailey you are amazing! ❤️”
“Theresa was wonderful. Our pup was cared and loved during her stay at her house. She made sure to update me with pictures and video of Jackie. I highly recommend Theresa.”
“We had such a great experience with Roseli! She took great care of our dog and sent picture and video updates so we could see all of the fun she was having! It gave us such peace of mind knowing that our sweet girl was in such loving care!”
About: Hi, my name is Nahiara and i’m a student here for a part-time job to cover my collage expenses. “Hands down the best Rover I’ve ever used. My dog is so comfortable that he sprints in when we drop him off and doesn’t look back. What’s even better is the fact Polina provides regular updates with pictures and videos, is very responsive, and their backyard is a doggy heaven. I highly recommend”
“As always, Christine did a fantastic job with our 90 lbs PitMix. She always provides us with daily updates and photos. We are very fortunate to have found someone like Christine to take care of our dog while on vacation.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Mabel home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Mabel.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Mabel sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
