“We decided to do a last minute adventure which dogs could not join in and Meghan was available and made our adventure worry free. She gave the dogs walks, treats and spent time with them and then gave us an update and pictures on how they did. We would use her again.”

“Brittany was a great help when we needed some flexible drop in visits for our dogs. She worked around our schedule, communicated clearly, sent pictures and even cleaned up the yard. Very friendly and reliable. We will definitely use Brittany in the future.”

About: I've always had such a deep love for animals of any kind, and I've been taking care of all kinds of creatures ever since I was 9 or 10 years old! I've been responsible for taking care of family pets, as well as more professional pet-sitting for family, neighbors, friends, etc. I've always prided myself on my ability to treat your pets as if they were my own. I'm a very gentle, non-threatening entity for many animals I've cared for, but I can also be very energetic for those that need a way to get all that canine energy out! I will always keep to whatever walking, feeding, sleeping, potty, and/or medication (if needed) schedule that your pet(s) are used to doing, so they can be the most comfortable they can be. I'm truly hoping that I can make animal care my career, and my heart is full of love towards your fur (and scaly) babies! I'm currently working part-time at a dog groomer, so I'm available from Saturdays-Tuesdays (I work 12-6 Wednesday-Friday). I can do a Friday evening or a Wednesday morning if it's really needed. I try to spend as much time with your pet as possible, so that's why I'd recommend booking on the full days I have off from work. I have a small dog, so there are plenty of toys and treats available! We also have a crate and a baby gate, so if anyone needed some alone time, we can make that available for them. Our apartment also has a big courtyard, so if your pup needs some outdoor time, there's plenty of space to run around! (On a leash, of course)
About: We have two very high energy German Shorthair Pointers so I have lots of experience and good energy to bring for high energy dogs or cats! My dogs and I really enjoy running outside and chasing a tennis ball or finding a good stick to chew on! I look forward to my cats that like to wait in bed for me to play string with them at night!

“Riley puts me at ease when I have to leave Spade (my 14 yr old Bombay male cat). She keeps me updated with photos and a narrative of what took place. She goes beyond and even cleans any mess he’s created. She is always punctual and attentive to his needs. I will recommend her with a glowing review and hope to book her on my next trip out of town. The best!”

About: I’ve spent my whole life around large dogs and currently share my home with a 4-year-old German Shepherd who I raised and trained on my own since he was just 6 weeks old. I’ve developed an understanding of strong, energetic, and intelligent breeds over the years. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lyons. On Rover:

- 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
